Just to review:
In American football, they use this weird, sort of egg shaped ball. They toss it around, and try to score. A score in football is called a touchdown. And linebackers, Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, concussions, yadda yadda yadda.
We're done with that. Since the cold weather approaches, we'll be moving onto BASKETBALL!!!

Who designed the basketball, and why is it orange??

James Naismith designed it...but i'm not sure why its orange...maybe because orange is a bright colour which would make it easier to see...but i'm not sure.

Tony Hinkle made it orange in the late 1950s, wanting a ball that was visible for both players and onlookers. Before that, it was brown.
