No.

It is possible, definitely. They're in the same category as God for me :/

*Mrs. Brightside* Does anyone watch...mmm..I forgot what channel it comes on /: maybe animal planet? But how these people goes in different houses that have "ghosts" inside? It's some crazy stuff. But I..I don't know if ghosts are real.

Ghosthunters?

Lindsay wrote: "I'm not sure. Scientifically speaking, it's quite impossible. There are no souls, so therefore there are no ghosts. And if Nathan were in the group right now he would probably chew me apart for ..."

It's all a plot. Duh.

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 965 comments Nono, I agree that there is definitely evidence. However, I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

message 5: by Courtney (new)

Courtney ^ what paranormal activities have you had GB

I've had some "visions" , I might go into more detail later

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 965 comments Oh really? Hmm :/

*Mrs. Brightside* ...Do anyone watch Paranormal State?

message 8: by Nathan (new)

Nathan There is absolutely no reason to think there are such things as ghosts as there is no evidence at all to suggest that they exist. In fact, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that they don't.

message 9: by Nathan (new)

Nathan Evidence against it? Well, the fact that any description of a ghost that you hear describes the ghost as doing things, speaking, etc. In order to do this, a ghost would need a brain. We know, from science, that consciousness is a result of brain activity. We also know that brains cease to have activity when a person dies. No brain activity, no consciousness. No consciousness, no ghosts doing things, speaking, etc.

message 10: by Nathan (new)

Nathan Now I am rather ignorant on the subject however from what I do understand...could string theory come into play here? Sorry I am just wondering what you think of it

Neither one of us are qualified to talk about string theory.

I agree with Nathan that there are no Ghosts

message 12: by Nathan (new)

Nathan Yikes.... NSA and I agree on something? I think Hell just froze over.

Dibily Do Girl4beluga wrote: "Hold on Nathan don't jump to sudden conclusions you have to dig a little deeper. NSA why don't you thing there is no possibility for ghosts?"

well it ties in with religion and science for me. I agree with Nathan in the science part, and I also don't believe that spirits roam the earth, unable to get where they need to be. To me, its as phony as a palm reader telling you will get a million dollars today.

*Mrs. Brightside* Rachel: ..Whoa.

G4B: Oh..That's what people say on Paranormal State. Well, not that, but losing a loved one.

message 16: by Courtney (new)

Courtney ♥ Rachel♥ wrote: "If there is nothing supernatural...then I have some sort of psychological problem with my house. >.<""

what is going on in your house

message 17: by ♥ Rachel♥ (new)

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 965 comments Sometimes I feel like something is behind me or...you know when you can just feel someone in the room is incredibly pissed or sad or something? I sometimes get that feeling when no one is necessarily there....

message 18: by Nathan (new)

Nathan Sometimes I feel like something is behind me or...you know when you can just feel someone in the room is incredibly pissed or sad or something? I sometimes get that feeling when no one is necessarily there....

I would say that is a psychological problem with you, not the house. You are imagining things.

message 19: by ♥ Rachel♥ (new)

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 965 comments Most likely, of course :P I guess I'm just being a "Well it would be nice if it were true..." person here. Do you've any idea what that could be, though?

message 20: by Nathan (last edited Oct 26, 2010 06:35PM) (new)

Nathan Do you've any idea what that could be, though?

Yes, you.

message 21: by ♥ Rachel♥ (new)

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 965 comments Thank you oh so much, Nathan. I never would have guessed a psychological problem could ever be the product of me. :P I mean, what type of problem would it be if it happens only within my house?

message 22: by Nathan (new)

Nathan It is your imagination running wild. The first time you felt it, you felt it in your house. Now that you think it only happens in your house, it is more likely to only happen in your house.

message 23: by ♥ Rachel♥ (new)

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 965 comments Oh. >.< And here I thought you meant I was schizo or something :P xD Hmmm, you're probably right.... I wonder what will happen when I move :/

*Mrs. Brightside* ...Why?

*Mrs. Brightside* Ohhh..Well-if it makes you feel any better- me and my friends were comparing how many therapists we have to see. One of them have to see three.

message 26: by ♥ Rachel♥ (new)

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 965 comments o.o
And, aww, I'm sorry G4b :( *hug* Good luck!

message 27: by Nathan (new)

Nathan I went to a therapist before. No biggie G4b. Every once in awhile you have to talk to someone about a problem that isn't related to you and isn't already a friend. Sometimes a therapist can make you take a more objective look at the situation at hand.

message 28: by Claere (new)

Claere (omenonwings) | 165 comments What kind of "ghost" are we talking about? Ghosts of your past? I've had that kind of experiance. I cried a lot.

message 29: by Dibily Do (new)

Dibily Do ya, like something knocking over with out explanation, you daughter/son saying good night to you when they aren't even home stuff.

message 30: by Claere (new)

Claere (omenonwings) | 165 comments Errr.... I have no children, I'm like 14 now.

message 31: by Dibily Do (new)

Dibily Do it was an example.......

message 32: by Heather (new)

Heather (HeatherDStewart) Funny how people are talking about scientific evidence on this subject. Most things in most religions can't really be proofed by science.

message 33: by Nathan (new)

Nathan Most things in most religions can't really be proofed by science

Because they are nonsense.

message 34: by Nathan (new)

Nathan Nathan I would love to know what aspects of religion are nonsense to you.....

Nearly all of them.

message 35: by Nathan (new)

Nathan WTF do you want me to do? List every single religious idea that I think is stupid? That would take far too much time.

message 36: by Claere (new)

Claere (omenonwings) | 165 comments Nathan wrote: "WTF do you want me to do? List every single religious idea that I think is stupid? That would take far too much time."

Yes please......

message 37: by Nathan (new)

Nathan Yes please......

You are an idiot. There are literally thousands of religions and thousands more that have existed that don't exist. You expect me to go through the list? How about you go through the list of every religion and every religious belief and ask me if I believe them. Then I will answer yes or no.

message 38: by Nathan (new)

Nathan no however a few would be nice

I can't believe for a second that you don't already know a few I think are stupid. If you don't, you haven't been paying very close attention over the last year or so.

I heard some where that he teaches (can't remember who told me this) is this true.

message 41: by ♥ Rachel♥ (new)

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 965 comments I think he said he was in his 30s at some point....
And yeah, he's an English teacher.

message 42: by Cody (new)

Cody (rolinor) hmm ok....

*Mrs. Brightside* He's an English teacher! I forgot how old...28? I honestly thought he was a lawyer when I first read his comments. XD

message 44: by Claere (new)

Claere (omenonwings) | 165 comments Ummmm... thank you for the information. If he is, why is he arguing with people like half his age?

message 45: by Cody (new)

Cody (rolinor) My guess he has nothing better to do.

message 46: by ♥ Rachel♥ (new)

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 965 comments NO! We must hypothesize about who he is, and then stick to our opinions even when he tells us otherwise. :P

*Mrs. Brightside* Because we debate with him. Duh! Lol, I don't know. Maybe because he wants to set us straight or something. Or he can only debate with us since we are the only ones who debate

and I'm not including myself since it sounds like I am.

message 48: by ♥ Rachel♥ (new)

♥ Rachel♥ (i_got_a_jar_of_dirt) | 965 comments I, personally, believe that he is a vampire. And sparkles.

*Mrs. Brightside* I'm sticking to my choices XP

Silly Rachel, sparkly vampires aren't real. Aliens, however, are a completely different story. He is quite clearly a visitor from outer space, fascinated by the silly little customs of us earthlings. The rest of his species with be by to EXTERMINATE! enslave the planet in a matter of days.
