Clean Reads discussion

My novel, Crestmont is listed as historical fiction. However, two friends who are high school librarians feel it qualifies as a YA book. If you have read it, I would appreciate feedback about the YA aspect. My main character is an emotionally blocked 22 yr, old with family estrangement issues and several other characters are teenagers. Very clean read. Thank you for your help.
