I played my violin since 4th grade. It will be my 3rd year in Sept. I'm probably able to play viola and maybe cello...

I played the Piano since I was 10 ( actually 3 months to 10!!) and now i gonna be 15 in 3 months time! That means it's been exactly 5 years!
I played the piano for 3 years then I switched to violin which I have been playing for 1&half years. Also I play a chinese instrument called the pipa.
I can kinda play the guitar, and my mom plays the drums so we have drums in our house, but she doesn't play them often. I could do rythms and beats.
cello. i can play the violin and the sax 2.
i have been playing violin since before kindergarten, and i started piano... maybe six years ago. i want to play viola too. the cello is too big to pull around, i think.
My voice. My mother and sisters and I used to sing in the kitchen while we fixed dinner. We would make up songs as we went along with harmony, included.I love to sing, and don't do it much anymore. That's not right!
i really wanna learn the violin. there is only one music store in town, so i'm afraid i won;t b able 2 afford it. i am not supposed 2 play an instrument in my apartment anyway. i couldn't practice in my apartment. but, somehow, someway, i WILL accomplish my goal.
Catamorandii had a friend once who attempted to buy a violin and got a teacher and everything and didn't succeed, so I'm going to give you a few tips.
first of all, you can rent a violin for way cheaper than it is to buy one.
also, my violin is worth $800 and its not very good-- i can play it pretty well but it sounds horrible if anyone else tries to-- so you might want to save up for a long time and get a nicer one
i practice outside sometimes. the neighbors comment on how nice i sound, but that's it, so that should work for you, as long as you have clothespins or something to keep your music from flying away
you should get a private teacher before you pick a violin, because a teacher would be able to tell you which violin is better and if they're trying to cheat you, which does happen, like when my mom said she wanted to buy a new bow while he was fixing her violin so he "threw away" he old bow instead of giving it back to her, and it was really nice. what he actually did was sell it without asking her. and then when he was going to rehair my bow but he didn't do it, so finally we went there and told him that we just wanted it back, so then he quick took me upstairs and did a really bad job and now my bow is practically falling apart. im going to have someone else rehair it...
and I reccomend Suzuki, because that's what worked best for me. I had some bad teachers, but both of the suzuki teachers I've had were really good.
and what happened with my friend ^^ is she apparently got a pink barbie violin ((she's weird, we're not friends anymore)) and one of the strings broke so she threw the violin away. lol
I sing (I'm a lyrical soprano), I play the piano, and the flute. I started learning the oboe years ago, but didn't get very far with it.
I'm a soprano that looooves to sing harmony, and sometimes sings alto in my choir because none of the alto notes are too low. my lowest note is the G below middle C, which happens to be the lowest note on the violin :DD
cello 4....like 10 11ish yrs and sax...4...about 5ish years. violin 4 2yrs.
