Our July book comes from my brother Byron's recommendation: "Good Omens" by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman (I bet he was made fun of in school). Byron has recommended several good books to me so I hope the tradition will continue.
It looks like the Barnes & Noble online price for a paperback is $7.99 and amazon.com is about $5 for used. My library has it in stock so I'm sure most do as well.
Also, it's not too late to write your review for June's book, "A Seperate Peace"!

Don't forget to read "Good Omens"! All the books at my library here in Lawrence were checked out until the 23rd, so I finally got my copy and am really enjoying it. I'm on page 104 and am totally entertained!

Tammy | 2 comments Has anyone finished this? I finally did tonight. I loved the beginning, it was hillarious. Then I thought it slowed down and it was hard for me to finish. I wasn't really impressed with the ending. I wouldn't read it again, but I definately would see it if they made it into a movie.

I haven't finished it yet, I'm about 1/2 through. I would agree that I really liked the beginning, but it isn't a "page turner" by any means. I am planning on finishing it. We'll see what I think of the second half.

I finished this book last night around midnight. I kind of feel like they didn't know how to end the cool events that they started in the book. I felt that I was often left hanging while they switched gears.
Overall I liked this book. I think it is a good book if you want a book you can stretch over a long time.
It wasn't a page-turner for me. I wasn't a fan of the ending, it could have been the hour at which I was reading it, but I was hoping for something else.
