Had gone to the Strand Book Sale yesterday - this one is like a religion - a must visit event - fabulous discounts and good books - picked up 7 books in all - which included an Alice Walker, Umberto Eco, Asne Seierstad, Charles Dickens amongst all.

well Kadamb, i also look for book stores in places where i visit and you will be surprised that you good some good and rare books in small towns. I remember few years ago, i had gone on a temple pilgrimage to south Karnataka and visited Udipi, where i purchased some books which you cannot find in Bombay and lots of archie/ tintin comics which my daughter wanted to read.
I decided to buy a book via Ebay Charity, as it is a deed for those who need it and a deed to my brain, to gain more knowledge, I am huge fan of Bombay/Mumbai, found out about Maximum City: Bombay Lost And Found by Suketu Mehta. I was worried that the condition would be very rough, amazed at how the high quality book was! I suggest everyone to try Ebay Charity once, as I live in UK we do not get many Indian author based books.
