Ramses rounded a corner and slammed against the wall, pressing himself against it so the guards wouldn't see him. He faced the other direction as they ran right past him. Excellent. The guards were never smart enough to catch him.

Alai shook her head as she watched the guards. She stepped into the sun and picked a flower. She was in full view of Ramses, and was completely vulnerable when she turned her back to him. She raised her face to the sky, closing her eyes as she thought.

Ramses saw Alai. She looked important, but not royalty. Maybe she worked in the palace. Either way, she probably had something valuable on her, and perhaps he could even use her as ransom. Either way, she looked vulnerable. He drew his knife and snuck up behind her.

Alai opened her eyes. She sighed softly, looking down at the flower she twirled between her fingers. Wondering what it would be like to he free.

Ramses took his knife and came up behind her, pressing the cold blade to her throat. "Don't. Move."

Alai gasped softly. She went ridged. "Who-who are you?"

"Quiet," Ramses ordered. "What is your name and where are you from?"

Alai rolled her eyes. "Wouldn't you like to know."

"Yes, I would. I'm also holding a very sharp knife to your throat."

She grumbled. "My name is Alai and I'm from here. I've never been outside the palace walls...and you are?" she asked softly.

Ammon walked down the hall. He was in a foal mood and neede to talk to Alai. He wnt to the princesses chamber an knocked gently.

Ramses grinned. "Your new master." He started dragging her back into the small alley.

Rune looked up from the scrolls she was reading. "Let him in," She said, stretching back on her pillows. The guards opened the doors.

Alai struggled. "Get off of me!" she yelled, hoping to get someones attention.

Ammon stepped inside, and bowed deeply. "Princess, I was wondering if you knew where Alai was..."

((Ooh. Kay.))

Ramses pressed the knife harder to her throat. "Speak again when I don't ask you to, and I promise you your blood will colour the streets crimson."

"Alai? She asked for the morning off." Rune said, putting down her scroll and sitting up to face him directly.

((yup))

Alai sucked in a breath. She stayed silent, but made one more stupid attempt to get away from him.

He sighed softly, and bowed again. "Thank you princess."

Ramses grabbed her arm with his free hand and yanked it behind her back.

Rune nodded. "Why did you need her? You're her brother, correct?"

She cried out in pain. "I'm sorry please stop." she whimpered.

Ammon nodded. "Yes princess I am. I just needed to speak with her."

"I'll send someone to find her, if you wish." Rune said, trying to be merciful like a good Pharoah would. She wanted to practice for later.

Ramses let go of her arm and led her through a small side door into a building. He closed the door behind him, locking it. The only light came from a window ten feet off the ground.

"That would be greatly appreciated princess" he said bowing low.


Alai moved away from him. "What do you plan to do with me?" she asked softly.

"Well you're obviously important. Somewhat." Ramses said, sitting on a large pillow. "So I'm going to hold you for ransom."

Rune nodded, stood up, and talked to one of the guards for a moment. He bowed and left the room. Rune came back and sat down again. "He is sending a runner to find her. You may stay in here if you wish."

Alai sighed. She sat down on the floor, not caring if her dress got dirty. She leaned her head against the wall and closed her eyes. Then she smirked. "What doyou plan to do if they won't pay for my ransom?" she asked. Guessing the answer.

"Thank you for the invitation princess, but I have duties to attend too." he bowed. "Have a nice day." then he moved to the door.

((Question:how far do you go with romance?))

((It really depends. I don't really mind, I just don't go into too much detail myself. But I don't care how much detail you would say. Does that make sense?))

Ramses shrugged. "Kill you."

"Are you sure?" Rae asked. "I'm sure your duties can wait."

She rolled her eyes. "Of course." she leaned her head against the wall and closed her eyes.

Ammon bit his lip. "Would you like me to stay princess?"

Ramses shrugged. "So you better pray they will."

"I won't force you, but I don't want you to work too hard."

She chuckled. "I'm not afraid to die." she said.

Ammon nodded slightly.

"Oh. Good."

"Is that a yes you'll stay or a yes I understand what you mean?"

"Dying is the next great adventure..." she murmured almost to herself. She closed her eyes again, and blew out a breath.

"Yes I'll stay princess." he smiled slightly and bowed again.

Ramses shrugged. "Well, whatever, now we get to wait. After you hand over everything I might want."

Rune nodded. "You may sit, or stand, or whatever you wish."

"I don't have anything of importance. I have no money, all I have is a mirror I bought for myself. You can havethat if you want. Won't get you much though." she shrugged and pulled a small mirror from her pocket.

He nodded and sat down in one of the many chairs, careful motto get anything dirty.

Ramses took it from her. he was right, it wasn't worth a whole lot, but he pocketed anyways.

Rune went back to her reading, stretching out on her couch.

Alai chuckled softly.

Ammon fell deep into thought.

"Any weapons?"

"Why did you need your sister again?" Rune asked, realizing something.

"I don't carry weapons." she said simply. Lying easily. She lay on the ground. "You can search me if you want to." she shrugged. Her knife was strapped to her thigh.

Ramses shrugged and stood up. "Alright then. Strip."

Alai lay there. She didn't move, just watched him. She stayed silent, just to make him angry.

"I needed to speak with her princess."

Ramses folded his arms impatiently. "Come on. You offered."

"About?" Rune persisted.

Alai smirked, and still didn't move.

"Family matters princess."

Ramses sighed and pulled out his knife. "Whatever weapon you're hiding, it's not worth it."

"Oh. Of course. I just remembered something."

Alai watched the knife and chuckled. "What makes you think I'm hiding a weapon? Just because I refuse to undress for you? You're the one that won't do the search yourself, like most other men."

Ammon bit his lip. "May I ask what you remembered princess?"

((Gots to go. It's pretty late here and I can hardly stand to press the spacebar anymore. Hurt my thumb. Night.))

"Too lazy. Didn't think you'd like it. Whatever."

"Alai was supposed to be back two hours ago." Rune said, her eyes wide. "Where is she?"
