An in-depth review of After Dark by Haruki Murakami.

Last night I posted my review of Other Sides: 12 Webfiction Tales.

Webfiction is basically fiction that's published online and it's mostly available for free, but don't allow that to fool you into assuming that it can't be very good. This collection of speculative fiction certainly proves otherwise and I think you guys would really enjoy the stories, which are light and bite-sized with something for any sci fi, fantasy or YA fan.

You can download Other Sides for free from the publisher Ergofiction (find the links in my blog). And, because most of us still prefer hardcopies and everyone loves a giveaway, you can win a copy from one of the authors, Nancy Brauer, on her blog.

News from Angry Robot - On 1 December they'll be launching Nano Editions, a digital short story store where you can buy fiction from their authors at about R7 a story, or R40 for a collection of 10.

Angry Robot has some awesome sci fi, fantasy and horror writers, and if you haven't tried out their work yet, here's your chance to check it out!

I had a really good Sunday and managed to make it to the sci fi, fantasy and horror panel at BookEx, where the authors chatted about upcoming SA genre fiction, genre fiction in general, and what aspiring SA writers should think about if they want to publish sci fi, fantasy or horror.
