Okay, so I'm suffering from a major writer's block right now. I would love some help for a plot for my NaNo novel...or even just some help for my current novel(s).

Okiee. Give a description of your story so far and maybe the genre as well. That way I can help a bit more :)

Which one? NaNo or one of the other things I'm writing? NaNo I've only got extremely vague ideas that I have no idea what I would even really do with. My main novel I'm stuck on chapter ten and on the other stuff it's pretty much the same thing...

Okay then, these are some possible ideas for my NaNo writing:

a) Sort of a post-apoctolipic setting. The continents are starting to collide with each other. Basically it would be an account of what's happing from the POV of people around the world.

b) It's like a forgein exchange student program...but with other worlds. No one knows about it really, one day the government will come and tell you that you are going to such and such and you have no choice about it.

or c) What happens when a Necromancer dies? This one would follow the story of a recently deceased Necromancer as they try to adjust for the living world to the dead [this one I'm worried that it is too much like Niki's "Angel For Hire" (http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/5...)]

Also, sense I can't really ask for help with Daydreamer because that would give to much away I would like some help on the set of notes I'm working on for it. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you please tell me if these make sense(and if there is anything I could add):

Teliken- Telikens have traits of Faeries, Pixies and Elves. Their lifespan is about that of an Elf, but a few years shorter usually. Their wings are smaller than a Faerie's, but are the same style. Telikens are known to have powers, much like a Gifted. Telikens can blend into human society better then most other creatures. In the Teliken community, they are ruled by a royal family. Telikens have set up towns throughout the world specifically for their kind, however some chose to live among humans.

Faerie- Faeries are probably the most common species. They blend in well with humans, however are usually slightly shorter. Their wingspan is usually around twenty feet, and they are iridescent and gossamer. Faeries have the longest of any species' life-span. They live for at least 1,000 years, but they can choose how old they look.

Pixie-

Elf- Elves are one of the more common species. All Elves can fly and speak to animals. Their lifespan is usually around four hundred years. There are six different species of Elves; Woodland, Wind, Water, Fire, Light and Darkness. Darkness and Light Elves are the two rarest of all Elves. Each species has it's own specific abilities, along with the abilities all Elves posses. Woodland Elves can usually manipulate the earth and around them, to fit their needs. Wind Elves can control the wind currents and occasionally create their own to fit their needs. Water Elves can manipulate water, including the water particles in the air, to fit their needs. Fire Elves can only manipulate existing fire, however, they can increase or decrease the amount of fire to fit their needs. Light Elves can create and manipulate light and light rays. Darkness Elves can create and manipulate shadows and every other form of darkness. Darkness Elves are the rarest of all Elves. There are only twenty known Darkness Elves.

Ariean-

Gifted- A Gifted is a human who has been given special powers. Most often the result of a Faerie and and a human. Gifted's have a prolonged life, much like a Faerie's, but not quite as long, often they only live for around 680 years, but don't look muh older than 80 or possibly even 90 at that age. Also, they do not have wings. A Gifted's powers can be anything, but most common are shape-shifting, clairvoyance, and telekinetic powers. Gifted's often do not know of their heritage.

Dialon-

Of course I am not done yet and would like some help...Also if you could think of any more powers Gifteds could have that would be amazing, so far I have:

Shape Shifting- The ability to change your appearance. Shape-shifters can turn into anything that they have heard about or have seen. Shape-shifters can change their voices to match that of the thing they have shifted into. Because of this, Shape-shifters can be very dangerous. However Shape-shifters cannot shift other people or objects, only themselves. Most Shape-shifters have a tell, something that will let you know if the person is the actual one, or the Shape-shifter. There have been five people reported not to have tells.

Shape-shifters can shift to look like any species, however they cannot use the powers of the species that they have. But, if a shape-shifter were to give themselves wings, they can use them.

Teleporting- The ability to

Mind Reading- The ability to

Second Sight- The ability to see things and places without needing to be there. Second Sight is the second rarest power. There have been fifteen recorded Second-sighter. There are different levels of second sight. Depending on how powerful the person's power the second-sighter can see different lengths. (This one is hard to explain so please message me if you don't understand, or if you know how I can make it more understandable)

Manipulation- The ability to control others verbally. Most Maniplulators need eye contact for their power to work, however it has been recorded that some Manipulators do not need eye contact. Some people are immune to Manipulators, although it is uncommon.

Telekinesis- The ability to

Clairvoyance- The ability to see the future.

Necromancy- The ability to

Elemental Control- The ability to
* Fire Weaving
* Water Working
* Wind Whispering
* Earth Shaping

Weather Control- The ability to

Invisibility- The ability to

Time Travel- The ability to

Time Control- The ability to control time. Time control is the rarest of all powers. Only ten time-controlers have been reported throughout history. However, they are one of the most powerful and dangerous of all powers. A time-controler can freeze time, rewind and, on some rare occasions, fast forward. A time-controler can decide who is affected by their power.

Again I'm not done and need help.

I really like the idea for the universal exchange student program. I can see that having really great potential. Daydreamer would also be amazing to use but I don't think that you can use a story that you have already written for NaNo. Are you looking for help to further develop the plot of your (NaNo)story or something completely different?

Concerning Daydreamer, you asked about more ideas for powers. Already you have quite an impressive list but I think I have a few that could be added to it ;)

Biokinesis- Ability to change the DNA structure of a living organism.

Levitation

Astral Projection- (I'm not sure I could explain it without making it confusing but if you googled it, I'm sure that someone has explained it better than I ever could >.<)

You can't use an existing story, I already checked. I am looking for both furthering the plot and deciding which idea to use for NaNo. As for the powers, thanks, those are really good, but is Astral Projection like Telekinesis(the ability to move objects with one's mind)

Really? I thought astral projection was like when I guess someone is able to make themselves kind of separate from their body.Idk?

But yeah the exchange student idea sounds awesome! Have you thought about that one much?

I wasn't sure, it might me, i don't really know. And actually I've sorta daydreamed each into existence at least once. I'll keep working on it, my one friend likes the last one best, but I'm worried it's too simalar to that other story.

I think I'm going to go with choice b for my NaNo. Thanks for the help though...I might use the other two for future NaNos or just write them on there own.

Okay, I have another question. Can anybody help me with a cover for either Daydreamer or my NaNo (I probably going to call that Exchange). I can't download anything on my computer because it is the "family computer" and if someone would make one for me I would be sure to give them the proper credit. I would really appreciate any help I could get.

I'm not sure but try Gimp if you're worried about cost. Gimp is totally free and works almost exactly like photoshop.

O_O Yeah, um, I can't afford that. So no. Luckily, a friend from school is drawing a cover for Exchange and is gonna scan it onto a computer for me, so I'm excited for that.

Ok Ama asked me to post this for her it is the first paragraph of her NANOWRIMO she is not sure if she like it or not so please any feedback is nice and be honest.

I am spoiled. At least, that's what all of the adults tell my parents. Most kids my age call me lucky. But that doesn't mean that they like me. I have been the subject to so many rumors. My mom used to tell me that they did this because they were jealous of how pretty I was. It wasn't until I was ten that my friend, Crystal, clued me in. It was because my family was rich.

Okay, I just spent about the last hour on picnik. It gave me no help whatso ever. Seriously does ANYONE know how to make a cover for me? I'm about ready to cry and pull out my hair. This isn't fun at all, and it's very stressful...

I noe rite! I went through the same thing a few days back. I endd up taking a pic from google images, pasting ym name and the title and make doing wid that! lol

I'm pretty sure that i could figure out how. It just all depends what you want your cover to look like. If I think I can handle it, I might be able to help.

:( Writer's block has struck again. In the form of Daydreamer. I'm currently trying to write chapter ten, and I have nothing. Well, I have something, but I don't like it. I'd appreciate any help I could get. I really don't want to give up on Daydreamer, but it seems like that's all I can do right now.

Agh!! No don't give up on Daydreamer! It really has so much potential and I'd hate to see you let it go. The best thing that you can do is to probably set it aside for awhile. Maybe start to pick up another project that you're currently working on. After awhile, come back to Daydreamer and see if you've broken through the writing block. I've used this method many times before and have found it very helpful.

Hmm.. well in what way are you stuck? Are you just not sure how you want the plot to continue?
