The Thirteenth Tale by Diane SetterfieldI just bought The Gargoyle,. I can't wait to read it. It sounds amazing!
Awww.... :(Mine would be Mary Ann Shaffer, but she got sick and passed away just a little before her book was published. I absolutely adored her book The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.
When I first started reading I didn't know how I felt about it because it's told only through letters, but pretty quickly I started LOVING it.
When she got sick she asked her niece, Annie Barrows ,to help her finish the story, so it's coauthored by her.
There's always Harper Lee. Never wrote anything but one of the greatest classics to come from an American novelist.
Couldn't a one hot wonder also be an author who has one good/popular book and then a bunch of flops?

lol, I can't think of a one hit wonder author. But I can think of a one hit wonder singer. Daniel Powter. "Had a bad day".

I just read and reviewed Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, and due to the success of the book, I was pretty surprised to find out it's the only one he's written!

One of mine would be Andrew Davidson. I loved The Gargoyle. But, it was released in 2008 and still nothing new is out and I haven't even found rumors of anything new coming. So frustrating. Any of you experience this?
