I switch to lagers during the summer but I'm liking the Boulevard Smokestack series Quaddrupel and St.Arnold's Divine Reserve #6 [West coast barleywine].

These are going good with Harlan Ellison's short story anthologies. This guy is WAY gifted, beyond the norm for writers. I recommend "Angry Candy".

What do you gals & guys have on deck?

Blake | 4 comments I would like to tone it down with some lower ABV beers once in a while. But lately I've been stuck with Double IPA. Barley's Smokehouse here in Columbus is having an "IPA-allooza" right now so that's the kick I have to be on.

Hopslam, Weyerbacher Hops Infusion, Avery's Maharajah, 2 bros Hopjuice, Great Divide Hercules, and many cask conditioned micros from the same bar.

If it were up to me I would be drinking entirely Belgian sours and Oud Bruins right now.

Todd | 1 comments I brewed a couple of lower alcohol beers to drink for the summer. On draft in the kegerator, I have an American Pale Ale with Amarillo, Simcoe, and Crystal. In bottles, I have a Munich Helles. I toss in the occasional Smuttynose Big A IPA to get my big hop fix. It's hot up here in New England.

William Graney This summer my go-to has been Big Swell IPA from Maui. The cans are convenient for coolers and it's an excellent IPA.
