So I've got a new story idea in the works but I have a question. Soooo...

There is this girl and she has been genetically modified so that she is basically the ideal human being made for the profession of murder. The thing is, what makes her 'ideal' for her kind of work is that she can feel no emotion. Not love, hope or even fear.

So my question is..."What does this girl see that some how triggers her emotions of possible pity, maybe compassion, and possibly fear."

Any thoughts? The help would be very much appreciated :D

Torture sounds good but i think that it has to be in the right context you know? I'm thinking that maybe she'll see something that will trigger a memory from before she was genetically engineered and then it will trigger her emotions. It actually could work :)

question: is this girl the only one of her kind? if not, then how about...

if she ever witnesses one of the others of her kind killing someone, then she gains a piece of a compassion. lets say that the modifiers of her kind don't want these "ideal professional killers" working in groups so that they don't get ideas to band together, that way if any of them catch each other in the act of murder, it makes them gain compassion (or some form of guilt for what they do). then, as the story goes along the girl acccidentally catches others of her kind in the act and she steadily gains her own conscience set of emotions. you get what i'm saying? and to make this uber elaborate, make it so that if/when these murderers see any other murders happening, they only gain compassion if they actually saw the murder with their own eyes. for instance, if they had their back turned or they were in another room when the murder is taking place, then they remain the same...

Wow I've got a lot to go with here! The suggestions you guys have posted were so very helpful and I have taken them all into consideration :) Hopefully I'll have the first part of this story posted in my folder by tomorrow. Thanks for all the help!

perhaps the "person" who genetically modified her is like a dad to her? and later on in the novel she finds out about her creator through suspense and murders and another conflicts starts becuase the creator of that girl creates another genetically modified guy -> much older than her, and he is complete opposite nice,and humble and he was created as a spy/a big brother for her i don't know hahaha but i'm willing to read this!!!

I think I'm going to find a way to incorporate all of them into the story. They might not all show up in the first part that I post but somehow they will make it in. Like I said, I'll try to post some later today! I hope you all will enjoy it :D
