Lexi ran down the path, her small legs carrying her as fast as they could as she headed home to her village, mom was gonna be mad when she got home so she slowed a little. panting softly she looking around, the woods were silent, the heavy snow weighing everything down.
Namir woke up from her nap. "Night time at last" she thought. This was her time, when everyone else was asleep. She had always preferred hunting at night, she loved the challenge. She grabbed her weapons, pulled on her gear and set out of the village.
As Namir stepped out of the village immediately all of her sense went on high alert. As she scanned the landscape for movement, she strung her bow. Just as she finished she caught some movement out of the corner of her eye. When she turned to look though there was nothing there. Turning back around no more then thirty feet in front of her was a zombie. He was gruesomely disfigured and looked like he had just made a kill. He also looked hungry for more. Acting on instinct Namir immediately fired an arrow. In her haste though she miscalculated and just barely missed his head. This seemed to provoke the flesh eating beast. He immediately began to gallop towards her. Quickly reaching into her quiver she grabbed another arrow and shot just as the zombie was almost upon her. Unsheathing her knife she plunged it straight into where the zombies heart should have been. This did nothing but irritate him even more. Namir dodged his frantic swipes at her and managed to lobe of his head. She then proceed to cut the rest of him apart, shoving each part into one of the burlap sacks she had brought with her. After making sure it was secure, she collected some logs and light a fire using two sticks. She then threw the sack into the fire, and spent the next hour making sure it burned properly. After she was sure all the remains were gone and the fire out she continued on to try and find herself some game for supper.
