Whoa! It's been a crazy month, and I am just now posting the discussion for this book. Sorry about that!
So, what did you think?

Tina B (readinghonor) | 32 comments [spolier alert] The violence in this thriller was so shocking to my system, not because of the violence itself, it was probably about average for a movie of this type, but because all this violent stuff happens and then he goes back another hour and all the violence accomplished nothing!! I know it motivates him but its like killing the same person(s) over and over and over again, like the first time was bad enough. Now, I'm not saying the story was bad; I thought the characters were very intriguing, and it has an incredibly creative plot device; but can you imagine looking at pictures of your own murdered body!

Stephanie | 40 comments I thought it was great. Quite a page-turner, so it made the book fly by.

I loved the storyline and the plot was so tight and well-constructed, but the writing was horrible! It was interesting to me how I could be wincing at the poor choices he made with descriptions and dialogue, and yet I still couldn't put it down. I just had to see what happened next.

Funny- usually I'm super-sensitive to violence, but for some reason it didn't bother me in this one. Maybe because the story was so engrossing.

Susan | 5 comments This book grabbed me from the start. Despite the violence, I enjoyed it to the last page.

Lahni I actually felt like 12 hours were too many. They lost their impact about half way through the book. I knew he would find the right solution at the last moment and so I started to get a little tired of all the wrong ones. **spoiler alert** I did like seeing the pieces fit together like how the gun ended up in the trunk but and I liked the hour when he was at the house during the theft. But the book began to feel like the DVD version of the movie Clue when they are running around going through all the alternate endings. Also, I couldn't quite suspend my disbelief enough to belief that he could be beat up and shot at again and again and still be functional enough to keep on the chase after about hour 6. I also felt the ending was a bit anti-climatic but I'm glad it didn't just end up being some family photo or cheesy quote like "Within each soul lies all the power needed" in the box. I was worried about that.

Danette | 14 comments I loved the combination of suspense and time travel--and I don't usually like time travel books. It made it to my "finished in one night" shelf and I definitely thought it was a page turner from start to finish.
