message 1: by Richard (new)

Richard | 86 comments Various people warned me to avoid this group at all costs, so I hurried over.

EDIT: And now my glorious bloody intro has been listed under General.

message 2: by Richard (new)

Richard | 86 comments You welcomed me before I arrived. You are the Lucky Luke of posting, Bunny.

message 3: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell How did Bunny's comment get to be message 1? Was she predicting Richard's arrival?

message 4: by Dave (last edited Jul 15, 2008 04:07PM) (new)

Dave Russell Cross-post with Richard. This is getting weird.

message 5: by Richard (new)

Richard | 86 comments Yes, Dave, have your post predicted by Madam Bunny - Cyber Clairvoyant.

message 6: by Richard (new)

Richard | 86 comments I'm off to Sweden. Hate to leave so soon.

Richard hasn't befriended me, and I haven't conversed with him enough to be comfortable making the first move.
And I'd rather get his book through the library or buying it than taking his kind offer. Again, not enough of a relationship established yet.
Sorry, Richard. I'm wary sometimes.

Ah, Dave. Dave is a Star Trek fan, so he was already in my tribe before we made it official.

message 9: by RandomAnthony (new)

RandomAnthony Helllllo Richard. Fancy meeting you here.

message 10: by Cyril (new)

Cyril I'm still trying to wrap my brain around how Bunny's post came in first. I thought crossing the streams was dangerous.

Welcome, Richard.

Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light.

message 12: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell Is that from Ghostbusters?

message 13: by Jackie "the Librarian", Cool Star Trek Nerd (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
Or... Mystic Jackie told you to do it, Bunny.

Sure, and fern readings, too. The plant of your choice, really.

Dave, yes.

Sarah, see above.

crossing the streams... line from Ghostbusters.

And yes, performance art, something like that.

message 16: by Richard (new)

Richard | 86 comments Thanks for the warm and slightly absurd welcome. I really am going to Sweden tomorrow, where I hope to seek refuge from world domination by Jackie and Bunny (may I suggest a new name, such as The Hilter Twins or The Armagodesses).

I just don't want anyone leaping to the conclusion that I'm a serial group joiner.

message 17: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell The Hilter Twins? Does anyone know what that means?

message 18: by Jackie "the Librarian", Cool Star Trek Nerd (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
I'm just relieved we're not the Halter Twins. I don't do halter tops.
Sarah, your petals tell me you lead a life full of romance and drama, and that the flowers fall at your feet in honor of your beautiful dark eyes.

Hilter Skilter?

message 20: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) I'm a little disappointed myself! I would NEVER warn anyone against joining a group. Especially not a group that's already filled with all my goodreads friends.

What the hell???

Is there another Amanda? Because if there is, I want her gone.

Hee! Beware the sock stealing Amandas! Accept no substitutes for the true blue, bird-flipping, tea-loving, heart-dwelling Amanda.

message 23: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) Aw shucks. Thanks guys.

message 24: by Leslie (new)

Leslie Hi every one! I see a lot of familiar names.

Hi Leslie... thanks for dropping in!

message 26: by Leslie (new)

Leslie Hi! How's the world domination thing going? I hope the time change didn't mess you up too bad.

message 27: by Charissa, That's Ms. Obnoxious Twat to You. (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) | 3614 comments Mod
world domination? I'm afraid my only world domination plans have been through the tyrrany of art. time has no effect on the tyrrany of art, so I'm just as far along one hour short as I was one hour long. which is to say, the world is not cooperating. how is your world domination going?

message 28: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) Maybe it's all the separate efforts of world domination going on... perhaps if we all banded together in the spirit of .... naw, I want it all myself! mwahahahahahaha! :D

Charissa (dakinigrl) | 3614 comments Mod
group effort just creates problems down the road... take a look at the communists! No... the only point of world domination is to do it all yourself, like the Little Red Hen.

So THAT'S what Ayn Rand's main influence was! An irritated chicken!

little known fact. Atlas Shrugged was based on The Little Red Hen. Exactly!

message 32: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) I was thinking more about Pinky and the Brain. You should employ a happy but mindless little rat to support your world domination efforts. It gets so lonely at the top.

sounds like my ex husband. oh wait, except he's not very happy.

message 34: by Cosmic Sher (new)

Cosmic Sher (sherart) Well, it seems like world domination is not a happy business.

which begs the question... why bother?

message 36: by Not Bill (new)

Not Bill | 1061 comments OK, now that the children have had "happy time", Richard allow me to introduce myself - hello, God here, how ya doin'? Oh, and by the way, I think you have a chive or somethin' caught in yer teeth. Nasty...yes. Flossing is a must.

Anyhoooooo... you play dice?
