Uglies by Scott Westerfeld discussion

Personally, I hated Pretties. I didn't like when Tally was a bubblehead, and I didn't like when she was going out with Zane, because I hated Zane, and I HATED the ending- all this time I was hoping she wouldn't be turned special, and then she did! Also, it was weird how Shay was all evil. And I hated that she chose Zane over David, and called David ugly. :(

What do you think?

Wow I agree with basically everything you've been saying. I hated Zana, like I said I almost stopped reading becuz of him. And I agree with everything else you said

Same. Likes Uglies better. Pretties was like a drag for me and the way they talk ticks me off.

I didn't like pretties........ I mean, Tally as a pretty was a sad sight. All well. I actualy liked it when she got turned into a Special though.

I agree holeheartedly!! I hated Tally as a pretty but I liked her as a Special. I'm glad she ended up that way last!!

But then..maybe I liked her best when she was an ugly, when her mind wasn't tampered with. I dunno...

Hmm..I know what I want. I want her to have Special body and reflexes and senses and all that jazz but have an ugly mind. :D

Not really...in Extras I had the feeling that her mind was still Special!!

I like Tally special best! It's so cool! Besides she can rewire herself AND she has David to help her, she'll get better. ^^

i probably wouldn't hate him if david didn't exist. but i love david so much. so i can't help but hate zane. he just can't compare.

he wasn't necessarily manipulating her intentionally ... but his prettyness definitely threw her off.

she didn't think quite that. she thought something more along the lines of, "he looks familiar, how does he look familiar?" sort of. not really. idk!
