what would you change about it if you could? What would you bring back?

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

School...

ugh...

There is nothing you can change out it...

I change the fact that the school does not teach anything accurate...then again what would one do with such knowledge?

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

I'd change the schedual. Personally, for me, my middle school expierence sucked. I had 8 classes a day, each 45-50 minutes long, but lunch was only 20 minutes long. Everything was entirely too rushed and you really couldn't fit anything in in just one class period. But as far as I know, it wasn't that way for anyone else in middle school, so I don't know if there would be much to change. But anyway, I think middle school scheduals should be altered to be more like high school scheduals or block scheduals.

okay id guess id change some subjects, and some of the useless 'put in the back of your mind' things we learned. that id change, but the learning experience is always fun!

LOL that's me too! The one good thing about college is no professor looks at you crazy when you show up in your pajamas. Sometimes they even laugh.

LOL. I kind of miss those days but college is a a lot like going back to elementary school. Dare anyone to ask me why =>

My 10 Reasons on how College is like Elementary School.

1. We have to learn how to share, again. It is the joy in having a roommate.

2. Naptime becomes a part of everyday living. It becomes clock work for a college student. We don't miss our nap time. If we do, fear us! =)

3. Recess is back! No, there aren't any playgrounds but. . .once a day a student will find themselves with 30 to 45 minutes to hang with friends and act like you are seven instead of your real age. No one questions your intentions, have fun.

4. We are learning to develop relationships again. Close one too, the friends you make in college are the ones you will more than likely have for life. Love them!

5. The teachers and falculty try to talk to you as if you are slow. Just because you speak to me like I am a child does not make me one nor does it change the sitiuation.

6. Those stupid activities that put the active in activities, still there. They will make you stand up and embarass yourself while trying to teach you. Smile through pain, you are being graded.

7. Remember when you knew the answer a question and raised your hand so high it hurt? And you still didn't get picked! Then when you had no clue what was happening and what the heck your teacher was talking about they decide to call on you!yeah. . . they still do that. Sucks then, sucks now.

8. Remember how when your parents came up to the school with food not from the cafeteria you were everyone's bestest friend. In college, if your parents roll up with a back seat full of groceries. you will rule the dorm. Enough said.

9. Do you remember that boy or girl that you had a crush on in class? You will have those again.

10. In elementary, remember those girls who thought they ran the school because they thought they were so pretty and adored. Those boys who thought they were funy and had jokes when all they were was annoying. . .the years have gone by and time has not shown them how wrong they are. It's so sad. At least you can walk in the opposite direction without getting yelled at by a teacher to get back in line.

College and elementary are a lot alike because in a way you are starting over all over again. Forget High School, what you learned there will not help you anywhere but academically, if that. You have to learn so many things on your own and roll with it and make those years the best time of your life.

wolf spirit | 604 comments I do, I do remeber my new life as an elementry student and like always a new student in college.
The life lessons in college will help you in the future.
Everything that you do in life reflects everything.
The students in high school that thought they ruled; we will never care in college if you were a cheerleader or if you were on the drama club.
In every bit of life; we remember the simple things and act like children.
IN some cases we make mistakes like elementry, but we have the right attitude to back it up.

IN elementry we always had fun and every now and then college bends and gives us time for our own.
Yes, I agree with you christa.

Teachers, some of them, have this look. It's called the "Are you retarded look." I hate it. You raise your hand or ask for help and they give it to you. It just makes you want to say "Okay, never mind." and put your hand down.

message 21: by Brooke (new)

Brooke | 663 comments lol i get that look all the time

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

I hate how teachers teach dumb stuff that no one will ever use in their entire lives. Its usless and a total waste of time.
