Think about it: In Uglies, Tally finds someone and then falls in love. She also thinks of betraying someone, but then has second thoughts...in the end she betrays them anyway.

Erm...coincidence? Maybe Scott Westerfeld needs to get more original ideas...
Oh and am I missing anything? What else is similar in the plot of the two books?
