Dawnfeather leaped up at the deer. She gracefully killed it and took a large mouthful of the rich meat.

Moonwing lay asleep in her den. She had had the night shift so was sleeping in most of the morning.

Dawnfeather came and bounCed on Moonfeather's head. "GET UP GET UP GET UP! GO TRAIN WITH ME! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!"

Moonwing rolled over, "maybe later. go away."

Larka ran around playfully.

Dawnfeather leapt onto Moonwing's back and pummeled her head. "PLEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!!!!!!"

Larka heard Dawnfeather whinning and laughed.

Dawnfeather cuffed Larka on the ear.

"Hey! Don't cuff me!" She said growling.

Moonwing got up, unable to ignore the noise. She pulled Dawnfeather over. "Come on," she glanced at Larka. "you too, I can't do this alone."

Larka nodded. "Watcha need anyway?"

Moonwing rolled her eyes. "Training."

Moonwing left and Dawnfeather followed her to the training hollow.

Dawnfeather saw a small bear cub. It looked cute,but she knew it would grow up and be dangerous. She reached out a paw. A huge bear leapt out. She howled. "Help!" It scratched her nose and blood dripped on to the pine needles. It sheathed its claws and pounded her over the head. Her vision greww fuzzy. She slipped in her own blood and blacked out.

She looked and saw Dawnfeather passed out and ran over to the bear nuzzled it away.

Moonwing walked over. "Oh. My. Gosh." She scooped up Dawnfeather.

Then she ran back over to Dawnfeather. "Oh crap..."

"Is she okay?"

Shadowfade heard them talking. He picked Dawnfeather up gently in his teeth and carried her to where there were some herbs in his den. He told Moonwing to get cobweb while he put on a poultice of marigold and dock on her nose and the gash in her side. Dawnfeather woke up to see Moonwing and Larka staring at her. She stood up,wobbly at first. Her eyes widened as she saw her wound. It was red,but not bleeding. She waited for Shadowfade to put on fresh dressing,then she raced out of the den as fast as she could. A few minutes later she was dragging a huge rabbit almost twice her size back with her.

"Well... She's better now." She said smiling.

"Yep...quick recovery."

She nodded.

"Never seen one that fast...." Moonwing added

"I wonder what kind of herbs he gave her.."

Moonwing shrugged.

Snow went out to hunt.
