AM I GOING TO DIE?

17-year-old Grace wakes up in a white room, with table, pens and paper - and no clue how she got here.

As Grace pours her tangled life onto the page, she is forced to remember everything she's tried to forget. There's falling hopelessly in love with the gorgeous Nat, and the unravelling of her relationship with her best friend Sal. But there's something missing. As hard as she's trying to remember, is there something she just can't see?

Grace must face the most important question of all. Why is she here?

A story of dark secrets, intense friendship and electrifying attraction.

Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton Angelfire (Angelfire, #1)

March 15 2011
goodreads summary-This debut, the first novel in a trilogy, is achingly romantic, terrifying, and filled with blistering action.

When seventeen-year-old Ellie starts seeing reapers - monstrous creatures who devour humans and send their souls to Hell - she finds herself on the front lines of a supernatural war between archangels and the Fallen and faced with the possible destruction of her soul.

A mysterious boy named Will reveals she is the reincarnation of an ancient warrior, the only one capable of wielding swords of angelfire to fight the reapers, and he is an immortal sworn to protect her in battle. Now that Ellie's powers have been awakened, a powerful reaper called Bastian has come forward to challenge her. He has employed a fierce assassin to eliminate her - an assassin who has already killed her once.

While balancing her dwindling social life and reaper-hunting duties, she and Will discover Bastian is searching for a dormant creature believed to be a true soul reaper. Bastian plans to use this weapon to ignite the End of Days and to destroy Ellie's soul, ending her rebirth cycle forever. Now, she must face an army of Bastian's most frightening reapers, prevent the soul reaper from consuming her soul, and uncover the secrets of her past lives - including truths that may be too frightening to remember.

The Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney February 8th summary:Freak. That's what her classmates call seventeen-year-old Donna Underwood. When she was seven, a horrific fey attack killed her father and drove her mother mad. Donna's own nearly fatal injuries from the assault were fixed by magic—the iron tattoos branding her hands and arms. The child of alchemists, Donna feels cursed by the magical heritage that destroyed her parents and any chance she had for a normal life. The only thing that keeps her sane and grounded is her relationship with her best friend, Navin Sharma.

When the darkest outcasts of Faerie—the vicious wood elves—abduct Navin, Donna finally has to accept her role in the centuries old war between the humans and the fey. Assisted by Xan, a gorgeous half-fey dropout with secrets of his own, Donna races to save her friend—even if it means betraying everything her parents and the alchemist community fought to the death to protect.

Steel by Carrie Vaughn March 15th summary:When Jill finds a rusty sword tip on a Caribbean beach, she is instantly intrigued—and little expects it will transport her through time to the deck of a pirate ship. Will a dark enchantment, salty kisses, and a duel with an evil pirate captain leave her stranded in the eighteenth century forever?

Drawing on piratical lore and historical fact, Carrie Vaughn creates a vivid world of swaying masts and swelling seas, where blood magic overrules the laws of nature, romance is in the air, and death can come at the single slip of a sword.

Darkest Mercy (Wicked Lovely, #5) by Melissa Marr February 22nd summary:The Summer King is missing; the Dark Court is bleeding; and a stranger walks the streets of Huntsdale, his presence signifying the deaths of powerful fey.

Aislinn tends the Summer Court, searching for her absent king and yearning for Seth. Torn between his new queen and his old love, Keenan works from afar to strengthen his court against the coming war. Donia longs for fiery passion even as she coolly readies the Winter Court for battle. And Seth, sworn brother of the Dark King and heir to the High Queen, is about to make a mistake that could cost his life.

Love, despair, and betrayal ignite the faery courts, and in the final conflict, some will win…and some will lose everything.

Clarity by Kim Harrington March 1st summary:arity "Claire" Fern sees things. Things no one else can see. Things like stolen kisses and long-buried secrets. All she has to do is touch an object and the visions come to her. It's a gift.

And a curse.

When a teenage girl is found murdered, Claire's ex-boyfriend wants her to help solve the case — but Claire is still furious at the cheating jerk. Then Claire's brother — who has supernatural gifts of his own — becomes the prime suspect, and Claire can no longer look away. Teaming up with Gabriel, the smoldering son of the new detective, Claire must venture into the depths of fear, revenge, and lust in order to track the killer. But will her sight fail her just when she needs it most?

Delirium by Lauren Oliver February 1st summary:Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -the deliria- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the governments demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love

The Iron Thorn (Iron Codex, #1) by Caitlin Kittredge February 22nd summary:In the city of Lovecraft, the Proctors rule and a great Engine turns below the streets, grinding any resistance to their order to dust. The necrovirus is blamed for Lovecraft's epidemic of madness, for the strange and eldritch creatures that roam the streets after dark, and for everything that the city leaders deem Heretical—born of the belief in magic and witchcraft. And for Aoife Grayson, her time is growing shorter by the day.

Aoife Grayson's family is unique, in the worst way—every one of them, including her mother and her elder brother Conrad, has gone mad on their 16th birthday. And now, a ward of the state, and one of the only female students at the School of Engines, she is trying to pretend that her fate can be different

Jevron McCrory (jevronmccrory) Just briefly on the topic of blogs, I was kinda forced to start one by my publisher. I didn't want to as they can very easily become pretentious! I've tried so hard not to let my blog become my thoughts on Strictly Come Dancing, or make my every move seem important, I've focused it sorely on the purpose of writing. Other than that, they are wonderful tools for organising your thoughts!

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Arghhh...so I own the rest of this series in ebook form now, but this cover underlay is so tempting, it almost makes me want to buy the hardback when it comes out in January.

Alison | 234 comments That's an amazing cover but thought it odd that those are angel wings not fae wings. Is Shadowfever a continuation of the fever series about the fae or did I miss something coz I haven't got to book 4 yet? Just wunderin' :-)

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Well, we don't technically know what Mac is yet. We know that she can see the Fae, but we don't know her exact race. Since most everything in this book revolves around the Fae, I wouldn't think she'd be an angel though.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) Speaking of a buzz...

After Last Sacrifice comes out, which big series (already in progress) is due to drop a book next? We had so many come out in October (Torment, Crescendo, Lost Hero, Ghost Town, Beautiful Darkness, etc.) that I can't think of anything coming up. I know MI isn't going to be until April.

What are we going to speculate about?

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) I have several places that I apply for hardcover arcs as well. Some of them are only for those in the book industry.

If you're a blogger, it's usually pretty easy to find lots of other bloggers willing to pass on used ARCs that they've already read.

Netgalley is also great though, since I know you have an ereader.
