If you like Science fiction www.baen.com has a free library with many popular authors like David Weber, John Ringo etc. that offer free ebooks in various formats.

All of Gutenberg is public domain, which means free and legal.
I also use the Baen Free Library.

I appreciate any ideas! I don't mind if it's free or I have to pay for it. Thanks!

Here are some more freebie sites:

http://www.feedbooks.com/
Both have mostly classics. Manybooks.net also has foreign language books...if you click on languages you can choose there.
Also, don't forget that GR also has en ebooks section: http://www.goodreads.com/ebooks

Thanks, I'll check the sites you've provided. Unfortunately, lots of Nook books are only available in the US and I'm in Australia, this being one of them. Also, I've an eReader (Sony) only just noticed this forum is specifically Nook. Sorry for the incorrect posting!

This thread is much more of a general ebook website list. It's okay to post here if you don't have a Nook, because it's just websites with ebooks. ;)

Hope that helps you.

I really do like my kindle - as I'm sure you gathered!

It's great! I use it all the time. :)

DailyCheapReads handles Kindle in the US, has a sister site for the UK and one for "junior" reads which includes YA and younger (middle school and even childrens I think.)

BargaineBookHunter www.bargainebookhunter.com posts books from free to $2.99. (Edit: Just found out today that this site is also now doing Nook titles.)

They're pretty good, but last time I was out there, they only did 99 cents and free. Are they doing all bargain books now (under what?)

It's short, it's free, but it's easily worth free!
