'Why does my cabin have to seem so boring?' thought Rose.'No incredible powers, not many quests, and really boring. even for a half-blood.' When rose had found out that her mother was a goddess she had expected, special powers or something... all she got was an almost normal life. (except for the whole magical summer-camp thing)

Rose heard a far away winney of a horse. 'That's the only good that's come of this camp...' She smiled, got out of bed, and walked to the stables.

Terran and Avani, entered the cabin after a exhausting day. They noticed one of the beds was rumpled, "New mate, ya think?" Terran asked Avani.
"No clue." She replied as she made her way to the back, where Sher slept.
Terran sat on his bed, across the room fromr Avani. "Maybe, we'll get some cabin mates."
"Maybe."

Polyana tentatively walked into the cabin she had been told was hers, "Hello?" she said through the door.

Avani smiled at the girl who walked in. "Hi! Are you new? I'm Avani."

"Hi! Yeah I just got here. My name is Polyana, daughter of Demeter. I am in the right place, right?" she said as she inched her way a little further into the room.

Altheda walked in, shouldering a bag embroidered with tiny flowers and vines. She smiled at the girls and stuck out her hand. "Hey!" She said, "My name is Altheda!"

Avani took Altheda's hand. "Hi Altheda, Polyana. Welcome! I'm Avani and this is my brother Terran." She said motioning to her brother.

Altheda tried not to let on to how happy she was that everyone was so welcoming - even though this was something small, the slightest nice thing constantly startled her when she was at the camp: this place was nice.
She swallowed and tried to control her arm, which she felt could shake forever! She loved meeting new people.
She smiled at Avani and said, "Thanks! I'm so happy to be here," and turned to Polyana and said, "Well, I guess we're new! And... isn't that a movie?"

"I was thinking the same thing. It's a pretty name." Avani said. "BTW- you can call me Avi if u so desire."

"Thanks, I'm not sure if it is or not..." Polyana said, amazed at how relaxed it was here. She knew this was where she belonged.

Avani showed off the cabin. "Choose a bed, decorate your space as you so desire. Make your self comfortable." She walked over to her bed. "So where is everyone from?"

"Thanks!" Altheda flashed Avani a smile, and flipped her hair back. She paused a minute to look at the beds. She was happy to see one with a spiral design of flowers and vines at the end of one bed, and even happier to see that it was next to Avani's. "Is this one open?" She asked, gesturing to it.

"Totally. Go for it!" Avani said. She flopped down on her own, which had a similar design to Alveda's.

"Cool." She dropped her bags down, then began to empty them. She pulled out jeans, tee shirts, overalls, and one swishy skirt. All were embroidered with vines, flowers, and small trees.

Avani pulled out a bag of potato chips. "Love the clothes! I have some too. But not many." She extended the bag. "ant some?"

"Hey Avani!" Lilly said smiling happy to be back home with her friends. "I'm back from visting my dad!"

Avani got up and hugged her BF, "Hey Lilly! I missed you! So how was your visit?" She noticed the other watching, "Oh I forgot, this is Altheda and Polyana. They just arrived."

Terran got up and hugged Lilly, "Hey Lilly."

Altheda waved at Terran and Lilly, then turned back to Avani and said, "Sure! I'd love some." She reached in and took out a few.

"I love chips. More acuratly Salt. And chocolate. I keep a stash under my bed. BUT Don't tell anyone." Avani winked at Altheda.

Altheda winked back. "Safe with me!" She said. Then she leaned in closer, and said, "Where can I get some?" She gave Avani a devilish smile.

"Well when u want some feel free to help yourself. I've got tons." Avani smiled.

"Awww, thanks so much! That's so sweet. Maybe it's just me making wild assumptions, but maybe all Demeter's kids like this kind of stuff. And if so, I wonder... why?" Altheda wondered.

"Yeah, I wonder to!" Avani said winking.

"My vist was okay kind of awkward but still it was nice to see my dad again." Lilly said smiling

"Step family problems?" Avani queried. She knew all about that. He step family wasn't horrible, but her step brother was a jerk.

"Can I choose any of the open places to sleep?" Polyana asked quitely, she hadn't wanted to interrupt but she was starting to feel like a good nap.

"Totally. Any of the beds that isn't claimed already. Feel free. This side of the room is girls other side is the guys." Avani said.

"Yup, I just chose mine." Altheda said. "Aw... I have a rough life at home, too. So I think I'm going to start calling this home."

"Yeah I started calling this home the moment I got here. Things at home have never been the same since dad got married. His wife is really mean and she hates me." Lily said sadly

"Oh, wow. You just described my story. Except the wife, my stepmom, was defending me and my dad was always pretty abusive. But he attracted Demeter because, well, he was a gardener who planted amazing plants," Altheda said.

"Oh I'm sorry. I know how you feel." Said Lily

"I am sure you do," Altheda said. "Sounds like you had a rough time, as well." There was a feeling on her face... was it sadness, or some other emotion? Even Altheda couldn't tell.

"Sounds like the same with you." Lily said sadly as she goes and lays on her bed, feeling slightly depressed.

"I totally know what you mean. It's never been horrible for me, but Summer over in Hecate was a modern Cinderella. Life as a Demigod can be really tough." Avani said.

"Oh, yeah." Altheda said. "Crazy tough."

Rose walked back into the cabin. "Hey guys, what's going on? New campers? There's almost never so much talking in here." Out of mid air she made a strawberry vine, and plucked some fresh strawberries form it. "strawberries anyone?"

Altheda giggled. "No, thanks. I prefer potato chips." She winked at Avani.

"Sure I'll have some." Lily said "Oh and I'm Lily."

Avani winked back and reached for a strawberry. "Thanks." I just love our abundant fruit supply!" She grew a blackberry bush. "While we are at it, a blackberry anyone?" She plcuked off one of the juicy ones and popped it in her mouth.

"Sure," said Polyana, she found herself too excited to sleep,"and you can call me Polly, by the way," she added. They were family after all.

"Cool. So how should we kill time? Movie, games, chat, nails, etc... what?"

"All of those things sound fun to me," Polly put in brightly.

"Cause they are!" Avani said smiling.

Polly smiled and said, "We could combine them by watching a movie with wet nails, and chatting during it,"

"YEah, but then again that always happens! What do you girls think?" Avani queried.

"I'm outta here.' Terran said as he walked over to his bed and pulled out his ipod.
