Amaranta (foreverreader) | 125 comments I read a book, The First Five Pages: A Writer's Guide to Staying Out of the Rejection Pile by Noah Lukeman, and it was entirely about how to improve your writing. I thought it was really good and it made me think about a lot of things I hadn't even thought of when writing. I highly recomend it.

R.C. (rc_kinkaid) | 12 comments Noah Lukeman has written a few books on helping writers and they all seem to be great. I read his book on punctuation a few months ago and found it very helpful (and surprisingly interesting). He also has a free essay on writing query letters available on the Kindle and also through his site I believe. Since he is an successful agent, any advice he offers is useful.
