Cult Books & Miscellaneous discussion

First of all feel free to add any cult related challenges that you're doing or planning on doing to this folder.

We are going to have a cult challenge starting in the new year. Basically the idea is that we come up with all kinds of whacky challenges related to cult books and some not, with a certain amount of points allotted to each completed challenge, then at the end of a specified period the one with the most points wins!

So please any ideas you have for challenges please post here! The quirkier and crazier the better!

These are just some rough examples, but one could be:

Read a cult book that features an elephant or has the word elephant in the title.

Read all books beginning with P from your to-read lists.

I've not participated in a lot of challenges on goodreads, not sure why. I am doing the 2011 TBR challenge for another group so maybe we could do something like it.

It's basically a short, simple list. Pick 12 books and 2 alternates that have been on your TBR list for a while to read during 2011. I believe they do a random drawing of people who have completed the challenge and winner gets an online gcard.

We could do that basic format and maybe add a little bit to it...such as another member has to pick one of your titles or each book has to be from a different year or decade. Or each title has to be a different genre. Something simple, but fun.
