A grand room where everyone eats almost every meal.

Maximilian swept aside a lock of jet black hair tipped with shining, metallic silver and entered the dining hall with a rather proud look on his face, quite pleased with the fact that he had recently trained one of the far lower ranking students to carry his things for him. He was very good at training people to do whatever he wanted. Maximilian glanced at his phone with a lack of interest in order to admire his perfection in the camera. Yes, he still looked totally perfect. His eyes were sparkling blue in the light emanating from his phone and the sparkling matched his teeth perfectly. Maximilian looked over his outfit. Of course it was perfect too. This particular day he was wearing black jeans with golden chains. His golden chains had little golden skulls hanging off them to complement his necklaces and he wore a dark red shirt. On top he wore a black jacket, which was made of denim today and matched his jeans exactly. Maximilian was also wearing his newest earrings, a large golden swirl, somewhat like the ones on his shirt, with rubies in it and his other three were also rubies. And, of course, he also wore his black custom Converse with gold trim and matching laces. Yeah, he looked absolutely wonderful indeed.

So, Maximilian made his way over to the table that he favoured by the large windows, slightly annoyed by the fact that there were other people already sitting there and scowled, clearing his throat and pointing out of the room. They quickly picked up on this because, obviously, Maximilian was rather terrifying at times, especially when annoyed. Once they had moved he made himself comfortable in this seat and gave an annoyed order for them to go and get him something to eat.

Rose walked into the Dining Hall. Usually she ate in her private dining rooms, but today she decided to come and see what even went on in the Dining Hall during meal times. She doubted the students just ate. When Rose went to school, she ate at a private table with four other elite girls. There were no princesses or princes back then, so she just formed a clique type thing that she just called "The Elites". A faint smile formed on her lips, remembering all of her past memories. Rose looked around and saw a boy bossing around kids. Ah, Maximillian. His parents secretly gave her millions of dollars without their child knowing to make him a prince. Quite a brat, but she used the money for various things around the school, so it was worth it. Rose approached the boy, "Hello."

Maximilian looked up when he was approached by Rose and sat up somewhat more straightly in his seat, smiling up at her brightly. That was quite the important thing about Maximilian, because he really was quite the massive suck up. He had been brought up having nothing more than the very best, of course, so he expected to have it here, and the only way he could see himself maintaining his position as prince whilst still ensuring he received everything he wanted. "Hello," he grinned up at her in a rather polite manner. He was totally her favourite. "Do you want to sit down? I made them go and get me something to eat, but I can make them go and get you something as well, if you like." Yes, Maximilian really was such a suckup, but he generally made it quite clear that he considered himself to be the absolute favourite.

Rose sat next to him hesitantly, but she didn't show it. He was simply a rich little brat who was a major suck up to authority. Rose hated him and liked the other prince and princesses quite a bit better, even if some of them were brats as well, though didn't let it show. She almost laughed with he told him that he had to tell people to go away from where he was sitting. When Rose was young, people that weren't elite knew not to sit with her and her friends in her private eating area because she would destroy their lives and make everyone hate them. Today, she has the same power but she can do even more. She could kill someone if she liked, of course she wouldn't tell or hint anyone, that would be way too obvious. "Well, Maximillian," she said, then frowned. "I have some terrible news." The news wasn't regarding him, but it was sure to make him sad.

Terrible news? Maximilian really, really didn't like it when people brought up the idea of bad news, but he generally tried to remain rather strong indeed, hoping that it wouldn't really involve him or something similar to that. So in his false strength, he smiled at Rose in the most polite manner he could and cocked his head to one side inquisitively, as if to ask what the issue actually was. "What is it?" he questioned, shooting a glare over towards some other stupid student who was being way too loud. He wasn't going to let anyone else be so loud when there was possibly terrible news. Fortunately, he commanded enough fear from them that they wouldn't dare to argue with him, and so they immediately shut up. Well, really it was more because Maximilian was incredibly annoying when he started up with a massive tantrum, but that wasn't the point. The point was that they did what they were told.

Rose smiled sympathetically, "I received a report this morning. Your mother and father died in a car crash. Their driver was drunk from the night before." She paused, "It'll be fine. Oakrose island is a lovely place. And your inheritance is waiting for you is your room." Rose acted sad, though of course she wasn't. She sent people to poison his parents and got an innocent driver off course so he would crash. His parents would definitely be dead. It made a good story, and it was convincible. "I'm so sorry."

((God, I'm so attached to Maximilian that writing his reaction made me cry...))

Maximilian stared at her for a few moments after she said this, not having expected her news to be anything of this sort. He had expected it to be something ridiculous that he really wouldn't care about at all. How could his mother and father be dead? Dead. How could they have ever been killed by something like that? How could their chauffeur have been drunk? They had wonderful chauffeurs! He honestly didn't understand what she was saying to him at the moment and, in his confusion and fear, his eyes grew wider as they started to fill with tears and his cheeks turned red. They most certainly could not be dead. There was definitely no way that could happen. Because...because if that was true then that meant he was never going to see them again. His father was gone and his mother was gone, and he would never, ever see his mother again. His father had been in his life a lot less and yet, this was far different from all those times when he left on business trips. He was never going to see him again either. Not ever.

"Wh...what...?" Maximilian questioned, his tears starting to drip down his face rather heavily and his cheeks now having gone fully red, not to mention the fact that he could barely talk and had started choking on his words, hardly able to get them out. And then, of course, he switched to anger because he really couldn't deal with sadness well. "They cannot have died!" he shouted, refusing to reveal his sadness, even though it was quite obvious he was incredibly depressed at this moment, to be perfectly honest. "That cannot be true!" In his anger, he kicked over several chairs, now screaming more at the top of his voice and not really bothered by who he harmed in doing so.

A few moments later, Maximilian took a few deep breaths, still unsure by what was going on and knocking a few more things over, before returning to his seat and resting his arms on the table, placing his head in his hands in frustration with the tears still streaming down his cheeks. "But...but Félix is alright...?" he asked, referring to his valet/best friend in some hope. Because he couldn't lose everyone he loved, could he? And then another question crossed his mind and, with a slight sniff, he questioned: "What is my inheritance?"

((Hm. I thought he would have a more dramatic reaction, considering how overly obsessed he is to his mother.))

((Ugh sorry for the short responses))

Rose ignored his reactions. They were simply childish. She dealt with murder almost every day, and even during her parents' deaths she was unfazed. Some call her heartless and cruel. She just calls herself human and apathetic. This was what she expected the boy's reaction to be. Crying and a bit of a temper tantrum. When he asked about his inheritance, she had a quick response. She saw it coming; it was an easy way for him to change the subject and ask about his second favorite thing in the world besides his mommy: money. "Your inheritance is a couple million dollars that your parents had in the bank," Rose told him. "We sold your house and auctioned various expensive items for funding to make our school its best. A lot of ten extra money will help you and the other students as well. Now, I'll allow you the rest of your classes off today for mourning." She said, adding a sympathetic tone to her voice. "Shall I go now and leave you to your mourning?"

((Yes))

"A couple of million dollars?" Maximilian questioned in annoyance, finding this a fairly suspicious statement since he was usually more or less aware of his parents' wealth. "A couple of million? Are you even aware of how much money my parents had? They most certainly did not have only a 'couple of million' dollars. My parents were some of the richest people on this planet, and they had billions. And we did not have only one house. We have at least six, and I have seven cars. Did you sell all of those as well? Did you sell my quarter birthday presents?" Because that was just unacceptable. How could she even expect him to just go off and mourn after delivery this news? "And, once more, is Félix alright? Can he come here?"
