UK Book Club discussion

Ok, so most of you have probably realised that I haven't been active much recently, but I do intend to change that!
Anyway, just in case I don't find time to come on here too often, I think it's best if we have a couple of moderators.
I have a few people in mind who I think should be moderators, but thought I'd ask all your opinions on who you want to be moderators or who wants to do it, so give your thoughts and opinions here :)

Hi Zoe, busy times eh! I check in pretty regularly so I'd be happy to help with moderating if you'd like?! There are a couple of others who spring to my mind but I wouldn't like to volunteer someone else in case they're not keen!!!

Yeah, I think you're probably thinking of some of the same people as me! I'd love for you to be a moderator :) I'll sort it out now!

Hi Em and Zoe,send them a PM I'm sure they'd be quite flattered....sorry if you guys have already done that. I think some people are maybe shy about volunteering in an open forum just incadse they're not the ones you have in mind.

That's not a bad idea Adrienne! I should think about doing that soon!

Yes Ian I must be! I do have two bookclub reads to read in the next month though, one nearly 1000 pages in two weeks and a 500 plus in a month!

And I really do have enough don't you think?

It's all relative Lynne. Not all of us have your library like facility at home.

My kindle's name is 'my library' and I've ordered a library style skin for it.

Well, I like the back as it's a lovely deep blue with the nice black tree but the front has too much yellow and red and is irritating me!

My Kindle is in a nice leather case only because it makes it easier for me to hold it.

My kindle remains as naked as the day it was unwrapped and will remain so until a Kenny Dalglish is King skin is brought out

Don't you have a nice cover for when you take it out? I have a pink m-edge one.

Before I got a cover for mine I was really worried about it getting bashed about in my bag!

Red leather with a built in light, though I have a friend who made a cover for hers.

I've been trying to decide what cover to get myself... is it worth the cash getting the kindle-branded leather ones with the light, or should I save my pennies and buy a generic one? Oops wrong strand....

I think it's a waste of money Liz, I'm not sure I want a cover that slots inside my kindle. The lighted one actually uses the kindle battery. My m-edge provides good cover and doesn't add too much bulk.

Came on to request a poll so I know what to read Sat. However, noticed my post above, very funny given I bought the lighted cover last Monday!

Was so wierd to read it after buying one! Decided on it as fed up of dim light in evening; too dark to read but not dark enough to shut curtains.

Ooops! Sorry, been snowed under with work - I will get onto it straight away ladies (and gents).

The list of genres is getting shorter - we've covered so much already!

Still plenty of interesting genres to try....
