Gone With the Wind Fans discussion

I forgot how funny some parts of this novel are (at least at the beginning). There are so many passages that made me laugh out loud, mostly because of the satirical treatment of Scarlett--I know people like her and, well, that does include myself (to an extent). =) For instance, in the first passage with Belle Watling, Scarlett has to take a second long look at her, thrilled and fascinated with seeing a "bad woman" for the first time. And, of course, the bazaar section is one of my favorite passages in the whole novel. This is my third time reading GWTW, but I'm enjoying it much, much more this go-round. Thoughts?

Great blog post! I really loved the video of La Dance Apache (spelling?). What movie was that scene from?

Love the video of the dance. Mitchell's apache is mentioned in my book but I had never seen this video. Wish I had because now I have a much better sense of what it must have been like!
