How many of you have split ends? Don't be afraid to admit it. I used to have them really bad untill I started paying more attention to the HEALTH of my hair instead of the way others think it looks.
Straighteners, curlers, and hair dryers can really be time savers, but unfortunately, they aren't too friendly with your hair. Straighteners and curlers can get very hot. You don't go around putting 100 degree plus hot rods on your skin right? So why should you do that to your hair? Now there's the hair dryer. The name says it all. Hair "dryer." They dry out your hair AND get hot. What could be worse? All three of these hair tools can lead to split ends and frizzy, dull hair.
I'm not saying to go chuck them all in the trash. I'm saying to pay attention to what your hair says. Try to lay off the heat as much as you can because in the long run, it's what's best. Embrace your natural beauty!

How to prevent split ends

A lot of people say mayonnaise is good for your hair. Actually, it's the oils that it contains that help. Try putting warm olive oil in your hair(seriously). Here are the steps:
1)Put about a half cup(more if your hair is long) of olive oil in the microwave until it gets warm. Don’t microwave the oil for more than 20 seconds!

2)Take the oil and massage it in your hair starting from the tips until you get about an inch away from your scalp. If you have dandruff, put a little on your scalp also. Try taking it by small amounts so that it doesn’t drip over your hands

3)Once you've massaged it in your hair, put a shower cap on and leave it for about 20-30 minutes to make sure that a good amount of moisture is absorbed.
4)After the minutes pass, rinse out with your regular shampoo and conditioner.
By doing this, you will notice your hair gets shinier and softer AND helps protect against split ends :)
If you have any questions or comments, please leave them on the QUESTIONS topic or I might not see them!
Thanks!

Anony-miss a-non-y-miss | 4 comments I've never used a hair iron before -- hair dryers scare me :p

I used to have really long hair until it tangled too much (I was stuck in bed 3+ weeks when the H1N1 prevailed). I love my short hair ^-^

No matter what your hair length is, it helps to trim the ends every now and then. With actual hair-scissors too. I suppose that it *might* work with regular scissors, but then again, scissors meant for the hair are meant for hair ..
