I beleive in it... I think. I mean, it can happen. When your so attached to the looks of a person, the personality automatically becomes likable. Weel, to me it does. What'ya think?

I believe in lust at first sight, but, for me anyway, love takes looking deeper, getting to really know the person first. That having been said, I think the concept of love at first sight is a very romantic notion, just not what I believe personally. :)
Hmm. But what if there's love at first sight... then you like the personality too. That would be... love at first sight, rite?
I guess I just don't know if you can really know someone's personality just by looking at them, you know? I mean, I suppose if you happened to spot someone from across the street who was helping someone (showing compassion and care), then you would get a little sense of who that person is. But to just lock eyes with someone from across the room with no other variables . . . I just don't think you can know them yet.
What about hearing stuff about that person from other sources? Like the persons friends and all. And then you see the person and your like 'W.o.w' and ... u noe what happens next :)
Okay, that I can see :). You know more about the person, and you have a sense of who they are. I can understand love at first sight then (everything coming together when you finally see thier face). :)
what if you hate a certain characteristic in people? then you see someone and you're like holy freakin' crap I'm in love and then it turns out that one of that person's main characteristics is the one you hate and you cannot stand it. what about that?
That's something you'd either have to forgive or talk about. You'd have to ask yourself if all their other qualities outweigh the one that you hate.
Yup, if you think that prsons good enough for you then... well, everyone has their weaknesses. And you can always tell them that you don't like this and this...
No, I really don't believe in love at first sight. But, like Candace, I believe in lust at first sight, and I believe that you can look at a person's face and decide that you want to get to kmow them better. But actual love... No. Love is so soecial and so precious, it's not something that just happens. I love my family and I love my friends, but I've known them for a very long time, some of them my whole life, and I know them. Falling in love with a complete stranger isn't something I believe in. Not even if you've heard about him/her trough friends. You might like the person or crush on the person, but to actually love a person, it takes a bit more than that.
I don't think that love with a... stranger, or guy/girl is the same as love with family and friends. While Fam and Friends aren't so easy to make (without knowing them) I think that you can love someone... just like that.I'm not making sense right? Well, m just trying to prove to myself that it can be true :/
No, I get what you're saying. and love for friends and family is definently not the same kind of love that you have for a "partner". But I still don't believe in it. Sure, it'd be nice if it happned, but so would a soulmate.I've been in love, and it's not something that just snaps into your mind the first time you look at the person. Books like to descibe it that way, because what girl dosen't dream of Love at First sight? The One? Souldmates? I know I do.
Book however are not exactly logical, neither are movies. They tend to hve everything from demons to angels, and in a fictive world anything is possible. And I'll say it again; I wish it was possible in real life. But I've never seen it happen.
It is so not. I feel like I'm deterioting from inside day by day since our being togheter is highly impossible :(
OH, sorry :(. I didn't realize the situation. :(
Ah, well for me it the looks does get my attention first and than it's the personality as I get to know them. I for instant had my heart broken many, many times.
Well, it is difficult to notice a personality from across a room, so I get the looks thing.
Haha, with me it wasn't an across the room thing. It was a picture. I saw it and I thought 'wow'then
'Blaaaady hell' and fell down on the floor. :P
That's cute, Amina. But I hate the impossible circumstances you're having to deal with.
HahaI still am dating people, but no one popped at me yet.
You know the guy I dated, Ethan, before I went to New York, Amina??

Lol :) Have you met him?
Nope. Just seen him and heard about him. And I feel I'd give anything to have him.*wipes a tear*
oh well.
Aaaaw :( Poor you. Okay, a good advice is to just forget about him. I know that it's next to impossible if you're really in love. Chocolate and good friends always help :) And never forget the chickflick, the tea and the Ben&Jerry's.
Is this by any chance your Aladdin?
Nope, not Aladdin lol! But he will be in the story. You'll see later on.Erm, yeah Emma :( My frends help a lot... they stopped me from oggling at his pic and thas the reason I'm feeling so down. But they say it'll help so... *shrug*

Ah, okay. Hm . . . ooh, is it your character Sa'ad? You mentioned him earlier. Crap. I wish I was at home so I could just read.
Coolio. Stupid work. *frowns* I go home in 2 1/2 hours, though.
Miss Rayne wrote: "When I got back..... he had a girlfriend."What an ass. Did you slap him across the face?
@Amina: He was so suprised when I came back and it wasnt his fault. I had told him when I was about to go that he had to move on, that he couldnt wait for me.@Emma: I didnt slap, I love him too much to hurt him and am happy that he has found another.
Well if you told him to move on I can understand. But if he just found another while still being with you? That would have deserved a slap.

I would love to do tht :P
I don't believe in love at first sight. There is such a thing as want at first sight or even crush at first sight. But deep love, the real deal? No, I don't believe it just happens when you look at a person. Of course, that depends on ones definition of love.
For me, love is a wonderful thing, but a painful one too. Love is to trust another person with your heart, and to trust them with your thoughts and you in general. Love is when you can tell a person just about anything.
If we have to remove all the poetic little twists, love is an emotion of strong affection and personal attachment.
And I don't think one can love a person one don't know.

Ok I'm totally not disagreeing with you or saying you don't love him or trying to be jerk or anything... But, how can you love him if you've never met him? Even if you've heard about him from other people, thats THEIR perspective of him and it could be completely different from yours. He could be a totally different person that you think. Do you get what I'm saying? I still think it's sweet though :)
Hey, I'm just sixteen, Rowan. It's probably a crush (Hope not). These thinga happen. Only I don't get over it. Like ven my past crushes... though I've forgotten them, I still have this feeling.... it's hard to explain.I'm the type of person that if they get it into their head that 'I like someone', I like em however they turn out. Like I liked this guy ALOT. He was mean, a bad boy, a druggy (sorry), smoked and everything... but I still loved him depite it. My feelings get real strong in this kinda stuff :/
