“What are the Republicans doing? They continue with politics as usual, they keep up the status quo. They don’t care about you. They only care about their big fat wallets, their bottom lines, how much money they make, and how much power they can accumulate. They claim to be the party of limited government, but, all I see, is that they’re the party of Big Oil, Wall Street, and insurance companies. The Republicans readily agreed to a Homeland Security Department, if that’s not an abuse of power by Tomlinson and his cronies, I don’t know what is. We are not beholden to anyone, we will get what we want done, and no lobbyist should stand in our way. Once the Democrats take back Congress and the White House, nothing will stop us!
“Now, we’re supposedly fighting a war against some boogey man named Osama bin Laden, who we haven’t seem able to find in these last three years. If the United States military is supposed to be the greatest force in the entire world, why can’t they find just one man? Now, President Tomlinson wants to take on North Korea, Iraq, and all of these so-called ‘rogue states’? What a complete waste of our resources. Tomlinson wants to divert all of you from the bigger issues, so we go to war once again and claim that we’re the only country in the world with the power to stop these rogue nations. Well, I’m sorry, but, it seems to me that the United States of America is the rogue nation, and I think we should withdraw all military units from other countries and bring them home. If we want the respect of the rest of the world, we need to start acting like the rest of the world. The United Nations exist for a reason, maybe we should start listening to them.
“If you elect Senator Grant Grayson as the next President of the United States, I can guarantee we will do all of that. With my support as the new Senator from Illinois, a President Grayson will get whatever he asks for. Whether it’s national healthcare, environmental protection, or government takeover of industry, he will always count on me. Can he count on you? That is all I have to say, thank you ladies and gentlemen for your time.”
As Gary walked off stage, the crowd erupted in cheers, chanting his name. These fools are so easily influenced thought Gary, but Tomlinson would win his second term. Then Gary’s turn would be next, thanks to the plan to completely undermine Tomlinson, and make him look like he was inept, and in over his head for the next four years. The talking heads on the news gushed over Gary’s speech, and they were openly wondering on television when he was going to run for President. The Republicans, naturally, went on the air after Gary, and tried to counter everything he had said, which made Gary’s argument that they only cared about themselves.
