Who is the best book guest you've seen on the shows?

Natasha (natashareads) Hello, Dinh.

Tough question!

I'm going to take the easy way out and simply list authors whose books I've bought after seeing their interviews on one or both shows:
Sarah Vowell
Thomas Friedman
Susan Jacoby
Bob Woodward
Harry Frankfurt
George Lakoff--just picked up The Political Mind today. (By the way, The Political Mind is not yet listed at Goodreads, and I am not sure how to submit it, so I linked to Amazon).

Those are the first off the top of my head. Who do you think was the best book guest?

Natasha

Bev Last night's guest on "The Colbert Report," author Sherman Alexie, writer of The Absolutley True Diary of a Part-Time Indian was a great foil to Colbert's pompous, know-it-all character. It was so much fun watching them try to outdo each other in the witty banter department. There were Native American jokes aplenty! If you didn't catch this interview on on TV, I highly recommend that you go to "The Colbert Report" website watch it. It's a hoot!

Natasha (natashareads) Hello, Bev.

I saw the show and found myself laughing out loud at the interview. Good call :-)

I always like watching Neil deGrasse Tyson when he comes on, whether to promote a book or just to talk about a science topic. If Nancy Pearl is the rock-star librarian, I think maybe Neil deGrasse Tyson is the rock-star astrophysicist.
