message 14: by Marina (new)

Marina A) Buddhism is a philosophy of life, not a religion.

B) I'm anatidaeist. Don't know what that is, you say? Allow me to explain...

Anatidaeism is the belief that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you (please go read the Far Side. Anatidaephobia. Look it up ♥). More specifically, the Almighty Duck in the Great Pond Above! She, along with her lesbian lover, is always watching you, as are her ducklings that she sends to earth to watch. Some have become famous, such as the ugly one, and Donald and Daffy, etc. There are things in today's society that worship this religion (The Mighty Ducks hockey team), but most people are ignorant and don't follow this very true religion.

What are the principles, you may ask? Well, the Almighty Duck will admit any being into the great pond as long as they have been fair and just to other animals. So, basically, she doesn't approve of the way we eat our meat. So unless you're a vegetarian or you eat organic and grass fed meat, you're going to the worst place ever when you die... NEBRASKA! This is the "hell" for the anatidaeists. Howard the Duck keeps a watchful eye. You will stay in Nebraska for all eternity!!

Remember, the duck is the way!!

(This was all a project for a class, I don't actually believe that crap =D)

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Yay! I'm not going to Nebraska!

message 16: by Marina (new)

Marina Yay! Which is a very good thing, Nebraska is the worst place you could ever end up for all eternity...

I actually guessed that by your mod name thing xP Texas is beast. Except, our football teams are kinda sucking (I'm a die-hard UT fan), and my theater teacher who is a UT/Cowboys fan is NEVER gonna let us hear the end of how much the teams sucked when we go back to school.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

um..............isnt this supposed to be religion, not meat, or football?

message 38: by Marina (new)

Marina I'm not a Cowboys fan, actually :P I really don't care about professional football, as long as my horns keep it together. Which they aren't. And it's making me mad.

Oopsie. Well...football is a religion to some people! Not me, but...I've never been much for college football...Our family isn't exactly deeply rooted to any college. So Cowobys it is!

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

message 42: by Marina (new)

Marina Lol. Both my parents went to UT, and well, we're Austinites, so it'd be kind of a sin if I didn't like the Longhorns :P
