UPDATED:
Pets, unless cleared by the mods now, aren't really relevant. Mostly, it's just an accessory. The pet doesn't do anything. In the original books, no one had pets. Only after Mrs. O'Leary.
If you can rp a way that is both creative and correct for you to have a pet (no backstory, you need to rp it), then you can have a pet. But no "Alice walked into the forest. Suddenly, a javelin was flung out of nowhere. It almost hit her, but a beautiful deer jumped in front of her, saving her. She became Alice's friend." Here are the requirements:
1. You must give a full (yet brief) introduction to what you would like to have happen to the mods on this topic.
2. You must introduce both pet and situation in roleplay (if approved by mods).
3. You must have at least two other members involved in said roleplay.
4. Said roleplay must have at least fifteen posts.
5. Each piece of the roleplay must at least try to be grammatically correct.
6. You must edit your charrie's profile and add the pet's description in the following template.
7. Last but not least, be SURE your pet will be an active roleplayer, just like your charrie. That includes NO POWERPLAYING! All rules for regular charries apply to pets, too.

If you already have a pet, you don't have to do this if you don't want to, except for #6 and #7.

This is what I love about my pets:
The one charrie who got a pet, she didn't own one before, mind you, died. So now, I'm stuck trying to figure out who gets a freaking owlet.
My words of wisdom: don't get a pet. Their owner just dies.

As long as you rp the pet as to how they got there, but really, who has time to care for a pet if they're training all the time?

So I would say "get rid of it", seeing as how it's not exactly going to be of ANY significance to your character.

Shadow travel, protection, and another canine member to the hunters of Artemis. If those reasons don't work... That's okay, but...

Regarding: Pets
Now, I know all of you guys love your animals. Dogs, cats, parakeets, ferrets, owls, you name it, we've got it. But I am asking you to keep it to a minimum. If you remember, none of the campers ever had pets in the original books (with the exception of the Hunters of Artemis). There are way too many animals running around Camp! You don't have to delete the ones you have, unless it gets out of control, but keep that in mind next time you make a new charrie. We might have to limit it.
Tank you,
Magdalena
