Nuclear weapons. The worst weapons ever invented. Should they be allowed? Should they be destroyed? Should they be used? Why do we have them?

So Neuclear Weapons. Used twice, both in 2nd world war, to bpmb Hiroshima and Nagasaki. When used, they leave miles upon miles of deastroyed land. They can result in cancer and mutations (not the fantasy kind, the real kind).

I don't think Nuclear weapons should be allowed. They should all be destroyed. In fact, they should never have been invented in the first place. Why affect generations upong generations of innocent people, even if it is to win a war? Iran are now also developing nuclear weapons, and I think it's so stupid. Most of the countries who have nuclear weapons had just agreed to destroy them, when Iran comes along with their "illegal" nuclear weapons. So now Russia dosen't want to destroy theirs. France never wanted to, possibly because they want to be "powerfull" and not "weak". Anyway, I think nuclear weapons are wrong and should be destroyed before they do any more damage to the world.

Nuclear weapons have served a purpose of acting as a deterrent. Each side gets them so the other will think twice about bombing the other. It would be great if everyone destroyed them and there was no need to worry about deterrence, but that's just not realistic.

I'm against war so of course I don't agree with them.

I'm against getting radiation poisoning from them. Oh, and being blown up.

I wish nuclear weapons could go away.

I kind of sgree. But I'd say that the only reason why my country hasn't been wiped out by our enemies is because we have the atom bomb. It keeps the enemy frum attacking. So for me, though I wouldn't like it to be ever actually used, it is why we are still alive. I mean, Pakistan is still alive, death comes whenever it supposed to.

Yes. I don't beleive, I know. If not wipe out, then they'd corrupt our country with their beleifs. Like they did with Saudi Arabia, like with Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq... be like us, or be wiped out. I'm sorry, but that is true.

I said our enemies. I don't want to go into specifics.

So you don't know who'd wipe out your country, yet you insist that they will.

Are you talking about America or are you talking about terrorists? 'Cause if you're talking about America, I'd like to know how you got that idea. If America wanted to wipe something out, I don't thinl atombombs would stop it.

I think more than America is our enemy. And I told you, first they'd make us like them, and if we wouldn't cmply, then they'd wipe us out. Havin the atom bomb is a big thing because they dnt want to be bombed if they take a risky step.

Hey, Amina. America is at war with Afganistan and Iraq. Not Pakistan.

Yeah, coz we have the nuclear bomb. And americans are scared that if they start sumthing, WW3 will satrt off.

We don't have enemies... we just dont tend to get along so well with other countries :)
My roots are from Pakistan too and I think its a pretty messed up country right now.

Woo. And we're not at war with anyone on that list. Although... Our relations with NK aren't too great. XD

So my friend she's from south Korea (obviously since northerns arent allowed out) and me and my other friends mess around with her saying that we like Noth Korea better, lol but its just jokes.

Uh Amina, as it was pointed out, America isn't at war with you... and I don't think it's because they are afraid of you. That's not fact, it's just an idea or assumption.

This doesn't mean what he is saying is a fact or true... it's an opinion. And what government position is he in? Where does he work?

The states are waayy more developed...

He's left it now, but he knows a lot about this stuff and ocassionally he tells me stuff. And when he starts, he keeps going so I get a lot of info frum him.

What a positive view you have on life Mary ;) Yes, I think it does. This may come out the wrong way, but Imma try anyway:

If you throw a normal all-destroying bomb, at least it'll actually destroy/kill. If you throw an atombomb, it'll have effects on people living miles from the place you threw it. A lot of people will die slow, painful deaths. A lot of people will live the rest of their lives with extreme pain. A lot of peoples future kids will have mutations and also risk a painful death (such as cancer).

Of course I don't think any bombs are okay, but nuclear weapons are the worst. In my opinion anyway.

we can't stop them from building one..we should try to benefit from their doing...anyway the best weapon is the fastest way to pause wars, right?

it's effective in giving way to a new peace order...why stop it now? let's use it the best way we can...banning in building nuclear weapons, only strenghthen the hunger for making one...

Yes nuclear bombs are awful. Ugh it hurts to think about it. I just wish these countries could just put a sock in it and get along, even though it's kind of interesting

Yeah, well, as interesting as it might be, it's so incredibly dangorous. We have enough atombomb in the world, to blow it all up... was it 300 times? That's insane.

It is very insane. You know what will be best? Countries put a stop in making ALL bombs and such and the ones that are made, deactivate and destry them somehow.

Haha yeah :) and then some countries are naturally insane. So if we all calm down a little and we can make peace with eachother and love eachother and then with love we can achieve anything.

Agreed :) And I'm not saying that the world will ever be perfect. But it can be a hell of a lot better than it is. And if we just give up, it'll never get better. Trying to create a perfect world, even knowing that it is impossible, is much better than not trying at all.

if we will to try to create a perfect world....then we need a plan...not just a plan for today but also a plan for the years to come...we have to have a heart that's not easily broken...we can't stop a war...but we can start one...a war using words...

But maybe we don't need that much of a plan. If every person on the earth just did their best to, well, do their best and be their best, then it'd create itself. I know this is just dreaming. Very unrealistic.

And now of course comes the: "Why should I try?" "I'm just one person!" "I'm too insignificant to make a difference..."

Well, if anyone is having those thoughts: We should all try, 'cause if we all do, we WILL make a difference. And if everybody had those thoughts, nobody would try.

And it's great to have high goals but if you have great expectations you might just end uo disappointing yourself :(
but we can try to help.
Also with global warming, it's happening and it's gonna affect our reattach grandchildren.
But for this we can start off by the small stuff like... Quitting racism and making stricter laws. And then being nice and welcoming to other countries and avoiding fights
