Ellen Maze (ellenmaze) | 4 comments Hi, Henk,
(I'll ask a question now!)
Do you, the author, believe in God, and what role does this play when you write? Can you write characters that believe as well as those who don't? How easy or hard is it to write different perspectives for different levels and types of religion?
(I hope you're not sorry you started the Q&A! This is is a legitimate question, and I think about it a lot!)

Ellen Maze (ellenmaze) | 4 comments I think that answers my question. I know a lot of folks from all sorts of theological and gnostic worldviews, and I like to look into them.

When writing, a writer should be able to cover the POV of lots of different people, so that was where I was going. I hold firm views of God and Creation, and can write from any other perspective as well. I like to write atheists and agnostics, and mix them in with christians, jews, and hindus -- etc -- because we live in a world with so many views. Makes it more real, you know?

I haven't read your stories yet, but when have time, I will scoot over and have a look-see.

I have a new question...

Is it as difficult to find a traditional publisher in the Netherlands as it is here? And/or do authors there use American publishers or local ones?

Ellen Maze (ellenmaze) | 4 comments That makes a lot of sense! Plus, I think it is amazing that you have mastered more than your own language. How many languages do you speak? (Me? One-English, others--a smattering of Spanish and Hebrew)

BTW~ (you said we could ask anything) ~ are people from The Netherlands called Dutch or something else? Forgive my ignorance.
