We know that Alanna chose Jon first, but ended up with George. So who do you think is better for alanna, and who do you like more?

I personally love George. There's smothing about him that just makes him loveable. Meanwhile, Jon's character has never really appealed to me. I think he's full of himself and expects to get his way because he's never known anything different.

As for who should be with Alanna: George. Besides the fact that she does wind up with him, I believe they are perfect for each other. George understands her and won't force her to do anything she doesn't want.

I LOVE Jon except in the 3rd book he is a real jerk! I do believe that Alanna should be George but I personally perfer Jon. Ya he is stuck up, but you also have to understand the pressure he is under being forced to rule a kingdom so young and knowledge of how his parents died. The betrayal and well that can really effect someone and how they act. So I have some sympathy for him.

Oh, don't get me wrong: Jon is great (in the fourth book) and I do have some sympathy for him: he is under much pressure. But how he handles things (especially in the third book) is so child-like. He doesn't get his way with Alanna, so he goes back and goes after Josiane, saying "She'll help me prove that I never want anything to do with Alanna."

Jon is a good character, I don't doubt that. but he isn't one of my favortes.

I've only read the first two, but I prefer George. When Alanna is around Jon, she feels so tense, but when she's around George she forgets any troubles she has.

I like George, but I just have this thing for theifs. I think Alanna feels better around George too.

It was so George. I mean, you look at Jon and think "He's handsome and the prince, and she was with him first", but George was the one who watched over her. He watched her as she went from page to squire, who found out first that she was a girl, helped her with Ralon, went with her to visit Thom, and got the Rogues on her side in battles between the good and the evil Roger. He was there through it all, and Jon went with Thayet, which was good enough.

I think George. Like Ashley said, Alanna feels so comfortable and good around George, she does around Jon too, but I just like George better though. Jon is like her best friend though, and he went with someone else.

I love Jon in the beginning and in the end, but not in the third. How can you NOT like George??? And he was better for Alanna because I don't think she'd be a very good queen.. too much of a temper, not good at politics or pretending to like someone you dont. and she'd hate being trapped as queens sometimes are.

Ya, I think George was way better for her, like everyone is saying he watched over her and really cared about her. But I myself still will always have a soft spot for Jon hehe

Honestly? I just want more mushy love scenes, which are totally not Alanna's style. In that sense, George is such a romantic, I love him. But I thought their romance flared pretty suddenly when she stayed with him, and that seemed a little off to me.

And I like Jon A LOT, but not as Alanna's sig. other.

It was obvious from the first time they meet that alanna was going to end up with george, but I was sceptical at first, he IS at least 7 years older. In that sense, I think that Jon should be with alanna, but I totally agree, she woluld SUCK as queen.

I kinda hoped she would have stayed with Jon, even though she would have been a really bad queen. Alanna had a special connection with Jon through out the story, and their diffrence brought the best out of one another. Jon was pretty mean though in the third book, he couldn't force her into mairrage, but it was mean that he used Josiane to forget about her.

I guess I kinda figured she would have ended up with George, since we meet him in the beginning of the series.

I agree with Zoe, it bothers me that he is at least 7 years older than. It just seemes weird, I never would have thought that the Rouge would have settled down and gotten married. But I guess in the end I agree with what Thom said in the last book, how he'd rather have her marry George than Jon.

I was always for George. Even when she was with Liam or Jon. George was the only one who was always there for her. He treated her like she was one in a million, which Jon and Liam didn't. I never liked Liam. He was always to serious and you could tell things wern't going to work out and Alanna was going to get her heart broken. Jon is a good guy and all... but George was SO way better for her. I just wish should would have picked him sooner instead of going to the two other guys first.

For Alanna defiantly George, from the first book you could see they were made for each other. Personally i have always been in love with Jon but they would have made a terrible couple however, if they did marry the fights that they would have would be pretty funny!

Here we go, are you ready for this....Liam!!! he is perfect for her! i think it would be so cool if Alanna became Shang, because they could be like a team. This is really random, but don't the Shang remind you of Jedi Knights... I mean, they are incredible warroirs who fight for the people... i wonder if the gift is like the force and it would be so cool if alanna became a Jedi that would rock

Jon's great, and when I read the books when I was younger I wanted her to end up with Gary and thought that George was basically a fuddy duddy, but when I re-read the series when I got older I definitely fell in love with George and now I don't see how it could have gone any other way.

When you think about it, in the first book, you'd assume that she would end up with Jon. He's kind of a jerk though but I guess that comes with being a prince. But George is really way better for her than him.

At first, I preferred Jon, the Prince Charming. He was everything a girl dreams of when pretending to be a princess. *Not all girls dream of being princesses, but I did.* He is charming, loyal, just, sweet, handsome, trusting and trustworthy, strong, diplomatic, and understanding (when he's not going through his rebellious stage).
However, when I evaluated them based on realistic standards, I prefer George. George seems more real, more obtainable (that's not the best word, but it works). His slightly raunchy humor combined with his gravity when dealing with work make him more human. Jon may be Prince Charming, but George is human.

As much as I love Jon and want to marry him myself, Alanna made a very wise choice when she chose George. Not because George is Mr. Real Man, but because he is the right man for HER. Jon and Alanna would have made an amazing couple and if he wasn't the prince, they should have gotten married, but Alanna was not made to be queen. Alanna will always be a little too fond of her privacy and too unwilling to let the little unjustices slide to be queen.
I truly wish Alanna and Jon could have been married, and I definitely write my fanfiction about them dying and being together in heaven, but George was the right choice.

He was being a total jerk before his parents died.

Jon is like 4 years older than her. Not that much difference.

Nothing could ever have happened because Liam is afraid of magic.

I agree with Anne Liam was afriad of a part of Alanna so i dont think it would have worked out. I really love her with george though.

Btw according to a timeline on tamoras website george is almost 20 yrs. older that Alanna.

She's perfect with George. But, one of the most appealing parts of the story is wondering who she is going to end up with.

I'm with you. I would have been just as happy if alana had ended up with Liam. The fact that he's afraid of magic wouldn't of had to of been an issue, depending on how tp would have adapted events, etc.

Mind you, I'm very happy with George.

Definitely George, eventhough he's way older than Alanna, he at least treats her right (unlike Jon) and is loveable.

Although, I don't really care who she ended up with, just that she did end up with someone. I'm a romantic at heart!

I'm kinda the opposite. Romance isn't the meaning of life and in general I don't like books that treat it as such. TP never does that and I love her for it. (in a purely platonic way...)

she was always going to end up with George. Jon was to stuck up and over confident. In the third book he was so much of a jerk it was obvios he was not for alanna.

though i loved Liam he was destined to die in battle and he would never have wanted to hurt Alana. I agree with "Anne who hates the Twilight Saga" Liam was scared of a pert of her and could never love her comepletely.

in the end george was perfect for her. Rugged, noble, fighter & protective. he would protect her at all cost.

Dont get me wrong though...George FTW! I love Jon and I'm glad they shared something, but she was always more at ease with George, and as everyone's already stated, Jon acted like such a jerk in the 3rd book! Plus, she always wanted to be out finding adventure, and she most certainly would not have gotten that if she'd married Jon.

BUT, it'd be interesting to see what would have happened if she'd ended up with Jon. Anyone wanna bug Pierce and see if she'll do a spin-off just for kicks? Lol.

yeah mastiff third book in the bekka cooper series it's about one of georges ancestors!!! read the first two they were good but she has done better.

okay i wanted liam! (i knew it wasn't going to work coz he hated magic and all but come on apart from that (and the fact george was still better) they would have been PERFECT (almost...maybe....i give up george RULES!!!)

yeah age was kinda pedo creepy but eh they ended up perfect. besides she trusted him before jon! he always helped her even before he knew her secret! (eg the horse!)

Does anybody think that alanna is unhappy with george? Do you think that she would be happy for more time with george or alanna? cause from my point of veiw the best person for another person is the person who makes you the most happiest!!!!! Now who agrees with me?

She means Alanna and John would argue alot and Alanna and Liem(SP?) would fight about her magic which made george the better choice

I totally agree

I love both characters. But George Cooper is more amazing! I love him. He is always witty and the way he said things is just so awww! I really loved that Alanna stayed with him. He always lets her do what she wants but he did know what was best for her. Remember when he found out she was a girl instead of a boy? He was half undress and told her to turn around. lol!

that was funny... when john found out the way he reacted was... um... how you say "giddy" if you will... after they killed the evil people of coerce...
