Speculative Romance discussion

but from the description this was the club i was looking for. i love what i refer to as romantic fantasy books (although i am really bored with the vampire/shape shifter/werewolf/ types). some books i've read in the genre would include:
the sevenwater's triology, the mist's of avalon, the princess bride, stardust, and enchantment just to name a few.
so......if anyone has any recommendations on a good book i'd love to hear one!

I've been thinking of trying out the Mists of Avalon for forever. I might finally pick it up on my next trip to the store.

You might try the books A Hero Born and Once a Hero (they're unrelated) by Michael Stackpole. I read these years ago but remember loving them both because they had a good romantic subplot, and they're just really good fantasy books.

I've heard that the book, Resenting the Hero, by Moira Moore is good, although it has a horrible cover, in my opinion. The only reason I haven't read it yet is because I can't seem to find it in the bookstore. It's a trilogy, but they only stock books two or three for some reason. I'm going to have to Amazon it when I get back to the States.
