message 14: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Oh thank God Ruby. I was about to strabgle you for a minute there.

And Anna is the other Dane in opinions group :) But she's rarely online :(

Amina, when you say the whole world, are you talking about countries that does not have a majority of muslims, or are you actually talking about the whole world? I still stand by what I said: Don't generalize. "The whole world" is a pretty big statement. The worls has many different aspects and people. As I believe I've mentioned: Denmark isn't the same as America. It's not even the same as Spain or even Germany (look at a European map please, to see where we are compared to these countries).

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Okay the inky wring things I think are deserts and 9/11. Well I'm not quite sure about deserts.

message 16: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) I dunno what I think when I think Pakistan. Muslims probably, and dark hair. The floods. That's about it.

message 17: by Jade (new)

Jade Alexia | 153 comments Pakistan is a good country but just becuz of some certain ppl doing wrong doesn't make it the whole country. Depends on how you look at it and you shouldn't believe everything you hear you should find evidence yourself so it's your basic opinion not what you've heard from others. Or what you have been thaught for tht matter.

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Yes there's a lot of pollution. I went last month to Karachi to visit my family and we were just driving around and I was just disgusted. And some people yes. They just love to get involved in some things and just make it worse. Like just recently the firing in Karachi in November... It broke everyones windows.
And when Benazir Bhutto was killed/died some certain people or groups just went crazy.

message 19: by Annemarie (new)

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 470 comments I honestly don't' really think about Pakistan that much. I guess it's probably dry... and hot. There are lots of Muslims, which is cool and yeah... I don't know. I don't really know much about Pakistan.

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Yeah you probably don't.. Hmm.. What places have you people been to? Countries I mean.

Oh trust me it's barely ever dry. Well where I lived. It's humid hume and humid. Only in the enter it's OK

message 21: by Annemarie (new)

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 470 comments Uh, all over Europe and a bit of Egypt. Yeah, that's about it.

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Awesome! Libya is right next to Egypt :)

message 23: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) @ Juliet: 0.0 You've been to every country in Europe? :o

I've been to America: Illinois (twice), Missouri and California. And I sailed past Kentucky, but I wasn't actually there.

I've been to Asia: Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.

I've been to Europe (duh): Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Spain, France, England, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Netherland. Uhm.. I've been to some other countries too, but I forget.

message 24: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Oh, I WENT TO AFRICA! TUNISIA!

message 25: by Annemarie (new)

See Emma?

And my the whole world I mean a majority of place, a majority of people or whatever. I'm not trying to pinoint denmark... I donno about it much. Of course, some things have happened in the past which make me feel that there are muslim-haters in ur country too. And you agreed to that, anyway.

message 28: by Emma (last edited Dec 05, 2010 09:44AM) (new)

Emma (zeeberg) See Emma?
- Not really, no. You have now prooved that some americans or whatever holds something against Pakistan. So what? I never said that it wasn't like that other places. I don't know, I don't live there. I always only defended my own country, 'cause that's the place I know.

And my the whole world I mean a majority of place, a majority of people or whatever. I'm not trying to pinoint denmark... I donno about it much. Of course, some things have happened in the past which make me feel that there are muslim-haters in ur country too. And you agreed to that, anyway.

- Yes, I agreed that there're a minority of people in my country who dislike people who are not from Denmark. That's called racism. It's not just muslims, it's everyone who's not from "around". It's still a minority. And yes, I've also agreed that there's a minority who dosen't like muslims. A very small minority. I've never met one. I've asked around, noone I know has met one either (in Denmark that is).

So you can make "See? I WAS RIGHT!" comments all you want, but you can't be right about something the two of us haven't discussed.

message 29: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) :o - You need to go to Europe Lindsay. Some of the places are really nice.

message 30: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) You should :) Though, and no offense, I prefer Spain :) It's so cultural and pretty. And the language is sooo sexy, as are the boys ;)

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Why did they go there? They should have known something like that was to happen. They probably thought they were some .. Idk!

message 32: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) I've met a lot of people who hate muslims...

I've been to saudi arabia, pakistan and england. gah. that's too less. but I don't like travelling :/

message 33: by Kylee (new)

Kylee (kyleeraereader) I love to travel but I haven't been to that many places... just a few different states around the one I live in and Canada a bunch :)

But after I graduate, a couple of my guy friends, my two best girl friends, and I are planning a trip to Europe!

message 34: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) Oooh, cool. Meet me there if u cum London :P

message 35: by Kylee (new)

Kylee (kyleeraereader) Haha sure, why not! I'm so excited though, we are just going to travel all around Europe and party it up! It's going to be awesome :)

message 36: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) wow, awesome.

message 37: by Kylee (new)

Kylee (kyleeraereader) Maybe I'll get lucky and meet some cute guy from like London or Rome or something haha ;)

message 38: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) I've met a lot of people who hate muslims...

- Again, I dunno how it is in other countries. I'm only speaking for mine, as I cannot speak for countries I've only visited.

message 39: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) Meeting people who hate something in a country doesn't necessarily mean that they are frum that country.

message 40: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) .... ? Huh? Whatøs your point?

message 41: by Kylee (new)

Kylee (kyleeraereader) Amina wrote: "I've met a lot of people who hate muslims...

Well you aren't alone or unique... lots of people hate other religions, not just Muslims.

message 42: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) Yeah, but we were talking about Muslims... And I haven't met anyone who hates christians. or atheists.

My point is, Emma, that though I haven't been to many countries, I have met people frum other countries who hate muslims. Like americans. I have not bee to america, but have met americans who don't like us.

message 43: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Wait, wait, wait. You don't know that there're people in this wrld who dislikes atheists? Atheists on this very group has told about the shit they've heard from relegious people. And we've got jews. It's not so bad anymore, but just look at 2nd world war, and that's just one of many examples. As for Christians. I don't know what people think of Christians. Of course, Catholic people like to tell Lutherans that they're not real chrstians, and lutherans like to tell Cathilics that they're extremists.

And as for the rest... I think I made my point pretty clear about that.

message 44: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) Well 'I' fr one haven't met anyone who hates atheists... but I'm sure there are people out there who do.

As for Jews, I didn't mention them because I know there's a large ommunity who have something agaiinst jews.

message 45: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) No, I haven't met anyone who hates atheists either. But I do know that some people do though.

message 46: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Hey btw: If your governemnt is shite and your president is an ass, why do you elect him?

message 47: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) I don't :P

message 48: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) No, I meant you as in your country, not Amina-you. So why do they?

message 49: by Amina (new)

Amina (journalistam) Yeah, I know and *sigh* that has yet to be... wait. Yes, corruption. They cheat in the votes. Most people I know don't even vote

message 50: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) :o What jerks! They shouldn't cheat in the votes! No wonder it's been ranked pretty corrupt on the 2010 corruption list...
