message 23: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Holy crap! Let's hope it end well, eh? And get outta there before something really horrible happens!

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Yeah we're probably leaving tomorrow and I just found out! And she says we might not come back! I still like Libya!

message 25: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Omg. Where're you going? :o Somewhere safe, right? Like, far-away-in-Europe? It's sad that you have to leave though, but hopefully it'll turn out good in the end.

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Somewhere far from safe... Yeah, hopefully!

message 27: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Oh great. You're moving from worse to bad or what?

message 29: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) :( Wouldn't it be better to just, ah, flee the country completely? Go to somewhere far away?

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Do you think other counties such as the US should get involved with what's happening in the Arab world? I saw the news today and this guy who I think was the president of Yemen or something was saying that Obama is the ruler of America and not the Arab world telling Egypt to do this and Tunisia not to do this.

one of the things that bugs me about America is that they act as if they were the rulers of the world.
it bugs me when they shove their nose into other countries business. isnt that what the UN is for?
there are enough problems in America that they dont need to be worrying about the rest of the world too.

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Ah now I see it's about the oil. They wanna help make peace but not for free. I think they should just stay out of it, they have enough enemies.

lol.
wait, if you don't mind me asking, did you get out of Libya? do you still have friends there?

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments I got out of Libya and I do have some friends (I believe) still over there but I'm not sure. The communications are very down there. They've made the Internet slow and stopped phone lines and stuff so I have no idea.

message 35: by Marianna (new)

Marianna | 66 comments Wow Ruby, you're at the center of the action XD.

Other countries have no right to get involved. That's the mistake the US always does, sticking their nose into other country's business and meddling in other country's affairs. The US always tries to tweak situations in other countries to make things better for the US themselves. Blah. Hate them.

No offense, but Gaddafi's pretty insane. The way he looks (those aviator sunglasses XD) the way he acts, the things he says. It makes me laugh.

Wish ya luck Ruby!!!!

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Hahahah I'm not the center of action. It's just things are hard a the moment. Because it doesn't look like things will get better so I'll have to be going to school and stuff... Yeah Gadhafi is insane but in order for us foreigners to get back to our lives, he has to stay.

message 37: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) Well, I generally think the US should stay out of other countries business, but... It's getting pretty wild down there, what with the bombings and the shootings and the konstant killings. Maybe we should send peace-troops (not the kind that fire, more like the kind Germany sends out). But mostly, I hope Libya can handle it. It'd be better for the country if they were able to take Ghaddafi down by themselves.

message 38: by Emma (new)

Emma (zeeberg) And Ruby, the best thoughts to you and your family and friends. I'll be sure to donate to every Libya-donation I come across :)

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Haha thanks

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments What's that supposed to mean?

i really dont think he deserved that prize. sorry...

message 42: by Siareen, Moderator (new)

Siareen | 533 comments Mod
not only that. what exactly did he do to earn that prize? he just talked and talked and tried to pretend he was the parent between two bickering countries that dont need him to butt into their business.
thats the problem with America. they think they have the right to be the international police and parent. it bugs me

message 43: by Zoey (new)

Zoey | 9 comments Those are really good.......did u know obama has speant more moeny then all most all of the past presidents combined. That makes our grand children in debt! That's not right

I so agree with that. Obama does more talking than doing. He so did not deserve that medal for just sitting around and running his mouth.

The thinng is, america rushes to go help the bickering countires when it was America who indirectly caused the problem themselves. America is almost always the indirect cause of problems in countries. They may have said something, or supported a certain cause, or did something, even the tiniest action, and it all comes back to them in the end.

Obama fooled Americans by making promise after promise during election campaigns and noooow that hes president hes barely fulfilled any of his promises.

Remember when he said America will be out of Iraq by 2011?

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments And now America is out (I think!) because they 'killed' osama. Hmmm this is getting me curious. How did he know...

Anyway. I have no idea what's going on in Libya. All I know is that I wanna go back. At least my dad still has his job, he works online all day. But yes on vacation now.

message 47: by Siareen, Moderator (new)

Siareen | 533 comments Mod
where are you now? [if you dont mind me asking]
are there chances that you will go back?

Ruby~am I a part of the cure? (openupyoureyes) | 529 comments Oh my God. Gaddaffi ACTUALLY DEAD TODAY. That's amazing for the Libyans. I can't believe it. Eight months of war and they never gave up. I'm so proud. 42 years of suffering has officially ended for the Libyans. My dad is so lucky to be in Tripoli, besides the gunfiring (for celebrating.)
