We all love a good story about it but does anyone actually believe in it?

message 2: by Brooke (new)

Brooke | 663 comments I do!

message 3: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca (alwaysrebecca) | 635 comments Okay, I have one but it's not really scary or anything...

My father grew up in a small Indiana town called New Palistine and his house was haunted. Occasionally you would walk into an empty room and smell pipe tabaco (which no one in the house smoked) or a strong flowery perfume (which no one had a match to). So if you ask my father or any of his brothers and sisters they will all swear there was something there. Cabinets wouldn't always stay open or close either... As for me I'll believe in gousts and such if I have my own paranormal expierence and not untill then. As for my father Ill believe him because he doesn't care for fantesy and stuff that doesn't deal with reality very much and if he believes in something as far fetched as gousts, well Ill take it seriously.

So that's my little blurb...

Oh and the middle school I went to, before they built a new one and made the old one into a town hall/ place for ap and acp high school courses, is supposedly haunted. I've never seen anything and I've been in the basement with lights out but some people swear there is a goust there...

This isn't suppose to be scary or anything but my godparents live in a haunted house. They say that it isn't but it is what it is and that place is kind of creepy.
When I was little I could never go past the den or outside to play in their back yard, don't eve tell a kid what they can't do because you know they are going to do it. I did.
There was a little girl *typical I know* in a green party dress and big bow on her head scrubbing the bathroom floor. As soon as she saw me she got up and walked into a room and I followed, she wasn't there. No one was.
A man in a white tee shirt is seen walking around their backyard sometimes, if you aren't paying attention you would miss him. I've seen him, he is just like the little girl and he just walks around and away.

A couple of things have happen at my
Grandmother's house that no one wants to acknowledge but the grandchildren but there are some things going on there too.

I don't believe in vampires and werewolves either but ghost, yeah it is kind of hard for me not to.

Yeah, my grandparents had a small bedroom in their house that I guess is hauted. My aunt used to sleep in there when she was a teenager, and she said she sometimes felt hands grabbing her legs and stuff. And sometimes my Grandma would sleep in the far back room at the end of the hall way and she would hear high heel footsteps in the hall and she would always wait up to see who it was but no one ever come to the room. But it wasn't like anyone was scared to sleep there, because my great aunt used to do witchcraft and somehow led in to my first aunt so that's why they think her room is hauted. Idk. I never really experienced anything there. It always felt like a second home to me.

wolf spirit | 604 comments Wow, that is awesome paranormal life experiences everyone. I wish I had something of that nature visit me, but to my surprise nothing. I would love to chat next to a spirit or ghost and tell them my troubles or let them tell their troubles. I would love to feel what everyone feels when a spirit touches them; a cold spot on where they were touched, goosebumps. =( Me sad.

message 9: by Brooke (new)

Brooke | 663 comments haha your not the only one wolf spirit. i've never seen an actually ghost but i've had that feeling where you feel like someones watching you and your the only one home

I attract too many ghosts! I remember when I went to South America, it was the dead of night, and I woke up for no importance. There was just a sound out in the hallway, and I noticed that the bathroom light was on outside the hallway.

Me and my impulsive self, I got off of bed, and went to the hallway to shut off the light. The hallway is a straight line to the front door of the house. Once I turned off the light, I saw this shadow, outside the front door of the house.

It was so weird, it seemed like a silhoutte of a woman. She had very long hair, and I guess it covered her face, because I can't see it.

The most logical way to do? Impulsive running.

I ran back to my room, in the dark. Only to have hit the wall next to my door of the room. A great, giant red rash formed on my forehead. And so I patted the wall to get to my room.

It was so scary. I honestly wouldn't want to see it again.

Although I met my grandfather in my cousin's house. That's another story. :)

Has anyone been watching a tv show and gotten mad because you feel the supernatural aren't being portrayed right.
I was watching Ghost Hunters (not international), and i don't know why it irritated me the way they went about searching for clues. Idk, maybe I'm just off. =)

yup...they portray the supernatural as something comic...

message 27: by Christa (new)

Christa (christa_holley) | 442 comments Mod
maybe that is it. and they have all these devices that talk. Supposidly it is suppose to repeat what the spirit is saying. I really have a hard time with that.

message 28: by meri (new)

meri (meri_is_a_saltedfish) | 128 comments i agree with all my heart...they must portray the supernatural as realistic as possible and serious too...not horror thingy but portray it as something full of mystery...at least that's what i think...

okay does anyone else feel like the majority of the movies coming out are based on exorcisms and stuff? I went to go see Season of the witch and I feel that Nicholas Cage and the person who directed the movie should be ashamed of themselves.

message 32: by Ειρήνη (new)

Ειρήνη I have one paranormal story!

My grandmother actually believes that her great-great aunt was a fairy. It's like a family legend.
It is said that this great-great-great... uncle (his name was Antonis) met the fairy (her name was Vaia) in the forest. She dropped her scarf (or her bracelet - there is a debate on that detail) and he picked it up.
In greek tradition, when a man seizes a fairy's possesion he also takes control of the fairy! So Antonis married Vaia and they had two dhildren. But after 12 years Vaia left them and no one saw her again. The scarf (or the bracelet) was also gone!
Her children died very young and everyone believed that it was because of Vaia's curse.

I don't believe that she was a fairy (obviously) but it's nice to have a family fairytale!

Ειρήνη this is weird! I'd just found the link for your story ( The Color of Sin - great by the way :D) and then I saw your comment on my family fairytale!

message 35: by Christian Dream (new)

Christian Dream (realityisoverrated) | 15 comments I'm a little obsessed with the paranormal ever since I was little and I saw this man sitting in my grandmother's rocking chair one night. He just sat there and rocked away looking at the fish tank and around two in the morning he walked away into the kitchen.
My grandmother told me that it was her dad's old chair when I told her about it. He liked to rock in it and one day he walked into the kitchen, hit his head when he fell. He died in the kitchen.
It was so weird!
