I finished reading Dark Obsession: A Novel of Blackheath Moor by Allison Chase which was okay. I'm that we can discuss gothic romance, and get some book/ author recs in this thread. Thanks!

Kelley (shewolf0316) I think the standard definition has changed over the years. I've always been a Goth Rom fan, classic or modern. I cut my romance reading teeth on Mom's old Gothics by the likes of Victoria Holt, Phillippa Carr, Barbara Michaels, etc.

A modern Gothic favorite author of mine is Eve Silver. LOVE her stuff. She's gone away from Gothics lately and has tried a few different types or paranormal romance (all dark in tone like Gothics) but I still love her. Have ALL her books.

I have Dark Desires and His Dark Kiss by Eve Silver. I forgot I had them until I read your post. Now, I have to go dig them out!

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 1416 comments I've read Masquerade in Venice and The Road to Paradise Island by Victoria Holt and enjoyed both. Also The Countess wasn't bad when I read it (though that was 10 years ago or so).
