Welcome Red! Interesting heritage. I am 15/16ths German and have spent some time exploring it's pre-Christain history.
Welcome, Red! I've been to Germany, but never to Berlin. I imagine it is big and congested and not very green like New York? Being the terrible procrastinator that I am, I never seem to get ahead. Now I'm pulling my hair out worrying about a final and a research paper I haven't started and I'm leaving for a trip to Poland next week.
Thanks Kernos and Nancy, actually Berlin is one of the greenest capitals in the world with a large number of parks, as most Germans are very emphatic about protecting the earth through recycling, planting and maintaining old trees. :-) New York I seriously dislike LOLFor the area of space and number of buildings and land, Berlin is rather underpopulated also, as some places are still empty or being rebuilt. Where I live in Germany is around thirty minutes from Poland. Most of trips there have been enjoyable.Good journey.

Wanted to introduce myself, my background is culturally mixed. I am Native American but was born in Germany. My hometown is basically Berlin, but I spend time between the USA and Germany, as well as travel other locations in the world if they interest me.
I enjoy meeting open-minded new people and conversation in general.
