Jen walked outsid.looking down.

Jen saw it and waved back smiling sadly.

"Hey!"jen said walking over

"Honestly not very good"Jen whispeared

"Today my parents and sister died. They died right in front of me in my arms. They died a year ago"Jen whisspeared fighting back tears

Jen ran into his.arms sobbing.

Jen continued crying. "And it was all my fault!"she cried

"Of cource I do! It was at night and it was a atyake. The capital.people came in and grabbed me. One of them held a gun to my head. Thy said my parents would give me.to them.or see.me get killed. My paremts protested and the capital shot tjem..my sister came down and they ahot her. Finally thheu left before beating and shooting me. I managed to get to my parents. Theu died in my arms..my sister was in so much pain I could barley stand it. She also died.in my arms"Jen whispearrf

"Everyone tells me that. Butt now everynight I can heartneir crys of pain and screams. I have had night mares waking up sibbing no one there to comfort me"Jen.said

Jen stopped crying but kept her head burried

Jen looked up her eyes red and pleading. "How?"

Jen smiled. "The best thing I have"

Jen hugged him. "Thank you. You really are the best thing in muy life!"

Jen took a deep breath. "We need to hunt"she said

Jen folweed pulling out a bow and arrows she had kept in a pack.

Kat looked toward the fence, the border line between her and district 11. She had sworn she had heard something but there didnt seem to be anything there. She scaled the nearest tree and heard another sound like voices. She felt her heart beating in her chest, what if it was a band of peacekeepers she thought to herself. Kat crawled out further on a branch to get a better view. She saw two people climbing over the fence, they looked a little older than her mabey 14 or older. One boy one girl, she wondered why they where out here.

Jen heard a noice and drew her bow. "Who's there!?"

Kat dropped down from the tree and landed on her feet. She drew her dagger "You shoot I throw."

Jen frowned. "District 11?'she asked.

Kat nodded "you?"

(district 12 please)

Jen nodded lowering her bow. She smiled' going hunting you want to come?"she asked.

Kat slipped her knife into her belt in one swift motion and replied "sure but I think I should know both your names first."

"Oh I'm Jen and this is Sai"Jen replied smiling.

"I'm Kat," she stuck out her hand and smiled.

Jen shook it. "Ok let's go!"

Jen smiled over at Sia

Kat heard a noise behind her, she spun around and took out her knife.

"What is it?"Jenny asked

"I'm not sure but I'm about to find out," Kat replied drawing her knife. She ran to a suitable tree and scurried up, using the rough bark as hand holds. She carefully moved to a branch farther out and used it to swing gracefully to the nearest tree.

Kat kept going, leaping from tree to tree as silent as a mouse till she got to the source of the noise. She looked down and felt her heart pounding in her ears. "Oh," she whispered, "it's only you." Down below underneath her was a red wolf with handsome gold streaks scattered throughout his fur. Kat dropped down from the branch she was clinging to and pet the wild dog's head. It had become a sort of pet to her since she started hunting out here. She fed him scraps and he protected her from bears. So she let him stick around.
