Vengeance in Death discussion

i have not yet read this book but i know it will be just as good as the others i have read them all but this one

I think i feel dissappointed for this series, because Eve Dallas, heroine who well known a fiercely dedicated cop and so enthusiastic to arrest criminals in the word, prefer to forgetting what her husband had done -Roarke's criminal action, so punish, so harsh- in his past. I know the reason why Eve is prefer to protect her husband because she is so falling in love with him. but, please don't let Roarke free to kill a man again..in ending novel. its meaning Eve let Roarke to punish again?
