I know. I really wanted her to get over her feelings for the hero. LOL And I never feel that way. LOL However, the book was really good.
I didn't hate the hero at all. I sort of understood why he acted like such a jerk thanks to the flashbacks. Had we started just from the present and his behavior without the history, i would have probably hated him outright.Totally loved the heroine though. Liked how she didn't let him get away with anything and stood up to anybody who tried to bully her.
I agree about the heroine. I think that was what kept me reading- the heroine and her strong personality!
I admit I had trouble with the hero in the beginning, but he came around and I liked him in the end.
I like Grey,I think he was kind to her even when she was younger-he did have that awful episode the night they chased them off,but mostly I think he is one numero uno Alpha hero.
I read this book for the first and second time in April 2010 and December 2010 respetively, and my view of both the book and hero changed drastically. It has now become my favorite LH book.I actually started a List called "Alpha Males We Hate to Lust" BECAUSE of Gray!! I think all of the books I listed are LH, btw. Hmmm.
Gray definately had it bad for her..and although it Was bad what happened to her family...he was young and hurt and really only seeing one side of the situation..he DID grow up though (phew didn't he just!!)lol
I totally agree about Grey being a jerk in the beginning of the book but I grew to see his point of view as I kept reading. He suffered a great deal because he thought his father had run away with Faith's Mom and his sister tried to commit suicide so, I grew to love his character. oh yea! boy! what an alpha-male....lol. Faith I loved from the beginning, she had strength, smarts and unconditional love esp. for her younger brother. Loved the book have read it at least a dozen times...Grey won me and Faith over at the end because of his strength and loved he felt for her.Wow he is HOT!

This was one of those books that made me think, "OMG, he is such a jerk, this is so horrible" all through it... and then after I read it I couldn't stop thinking about it and had to own my own copy. :-)
Perhaps because I am older, when I read After the Night I understood where Grey was coming from. I didn't like his behavior to up and literally throw every one out, but he had lost his father and almost lost his sister. If that would have happened all he would have had left was his selfish, unfeeling mother. Too much loss, especially at once, can cause people to react inappropriately. When she came back (can't remember the time span) again I understand his reaction. When he heard that she came back the memory of that night, together with all those feelings, had to come rushing back. In his opinion, he had to nip it in the bud.
