Nate stumbled lightly to his feet after being shoved out of the back of a van, blinking his oddly-coloured eyes as they narrowed to the sudden intake of sun. "...Huh. Edgeview, huh?" He mumbled to himself, glancing at the sign outside the door. "...Looks like fun." He grinned, while another guard roughly took him by the arm, taking him inside.

((what does the place look like? Are there guards, security, an office, etc?))

((Oh, right!! I need to post a description of the place... >.> For now, just know that there are at least 3 floors, no guards/security [but there totally should be], and yes, there is an office, and all the furniture is ancient/beaten up. It's built like a prison, barbed wire, the whole thing.))

"Ah, Matthew," said Principal Davis said, hurrying out of the office. "That won't be necessary. Why don't you just release Nathan and go back to your duties, eh?"

((Oh, fun.))

The guard gave a gruff nod, let go of Nate, then marched off back to the front gates, returning to his post. The large chain-link gates wheeled closed, then completed the circuit, the electricity starting to flow through it again. Nate massaged his arm, huffing. "Well, that's one hell of a way to treat a kid." He grumbled, eyes still narrowed.

Leslie blinked, waking to his iHome's musical alarm. He sighed and rolled over...only to fall off of his bed. Sheesh...They really need to get bigger beds here. Scowling, he got to his feet started to get dressed. At the moment, he was the only one in the room but that could change soon. They brought in new kids all the time. He let the song finish before turning off the iPod dock.

He headed downstairs for breakfast, leaving his bedhair as it was.

The principal escorted him to his office, picking up another girl from the seat outside. Nate paid no attention to her, his hands in his jean pockets. A lot of other kids had given him strange looks as he passed with the principal, and whispers were thrown around.

"Hey, look... Cute new kid. Wonder what he came here for, huh?"

"Pfft. He's trying to act tough. This place'll break him down fast enough..."

Electro slouched down the stairs to the cafeteria, gloved hands in his pockets. New kids. Great, he thought. I wonder how long it will take for them to think I'm a freak.

Nate's armband and chains jingled lightly, as he removed his hand from his pocket, reaching over ever so slyly and tapping a girl on the shoulder. Immediately, "hearts" grew in her eyes and she tailed him like a puppy, fending off other girls who looked like they wanted to approach him. Girls and their hearts... So easy to manipulate. Nate sighed. The principal still didn't notice.

Saffy looked at the new kids, or as the bullies called them 'fresh meat'. She was watching them quite obviously, but the look in her eyes was calculating and curious rather than the attraction other girls were showing torward the boy. While she watched, she made a mental note to hack the mainframe and look at that kid's file.

The girl who was following Nate immediately snapped over to Saffy, about ready to scream at her to get away from "her lover", Nate beckoned her over, whispering something into her ear. Her eyes widened, but she nodded quickly, hastening away. Nate casually looked back at Saffy, showing a smug grin, as if saying 'You're gonna have to learn the hard way about me'.

She walked over to him. "Welcome to Edgeview. I trust the gaurds gave you a hard time?"

((Sierra, you have to get your charrie approved before rping.))

"But of course. New kids mean new problems to look over, right?" He smiled, still following the principal, who seemed not to care that he was now talking to another kid. "Besides, he seemed to turn a little pale when he read my case file as he got me from the 'transportation van'. Though if you ask me, that's a prison cell on wheels." He shrugged. The girl he had wooed still hadn't come back. Maybe she was actually capable of erasing his file from the online system?

Great. New kids. They were like toys; everyone would tire of them eventually. fff twilight reference, yes? The good thing was no one noticed when he snuck in late.
He grabbed a bowl of cereal and a plastic spoon then found a table far, far away from the crowd of girls at the door.

"What'd you do, kill someone?" she meant it as a joke, but knowing the kids who came here it might have been true.

"Maybe." He gave a wicked grin, as guards stopped Saffy from entering the Principal's office with him. "I guess we'll get to chat about that later. Adieu for now, my new friend~" Nate gave a two-fingered salute to her, before the doors closed behind him.

She smiled at the gaurds and nodded, a faint glow emenating from her skin. "Have a nice day, sirs." she said kindly and went off to the cafateria for breakfast.

One of the new kids--the girl-- sat down a few seats away from Leslie. He shrugged. Must not like crowds.

He slipped a hand in his pocket and took out his DS. There was time before class started...

*Insert awkward silence*

Noel danced into Edgeview, her new school, wearing her best clothes to make a good first impression. She wore black tights, pointe shoes, and deep navy leotard (faded black), and a green wrap skirt with a matching headband that complemented her eyes. She spun and leaped and smiled her heavenly smile through her painted pink lips. Noel hoped to make a few friends here.

((Who should Noel run into? I mean, she can't go that long with out leaping or turning or tendu-ing into someone.))

((Nate? Saffy? A teacher?))

((I want someone to say that they want Noel to run into their character. Then I'll do it.))

The dere-dere (lovey dovey) girls who were crowding around the principal's office quickly dispersed after the guards chased them away, but there were still a few whispers going around.

Nate sat down in one of the heavily leathered and decorated chairs across the desk from the Principal, as the other girl had already gotten out. Mr.Davis looked over at Nate sternly, to which he returned a level stare. "Mr.Ruse..." "Oh, Charles. Call me Nate." He smiled cunningly, crossing his legs and resting his hands his lap. The principal shifted uncomfortably. "Mr.Ruse, I am concerned with your background. I'm sure you are well aware from your... talents, that this is no ordinary school." "Oh, so you mean, aside from the commando-amount of guards, the huge electrocuted chain link fences and the dreary look the outside of this building gives, I wouldn't be able notice that this place isn't normal?" Nate raised an eyebrow, shifting his elbows so that he could lace his fingers together in front of his chin, like an evil villain. "Oh please, Charles. Do you take me for a fool? You've even read my case file. Raise your standards, or you're never going to be able to hope of earning my respect." Nate said coldly. It was as if the tables had turned, as the principal pulled at his collar, extremely uncomfortable at this point. "Yes, yes, Mr.Ruse. I see you'll fit perfectly here." He muttered, tapping something on his keyboard. "You are excused to the Cafeteria for Lunch. Your bedding arrangements will be handled by the Hall Monitors on the third floor. Good day, Mr. Ruse." Mr.Davis said. Nate gave a warm, but obviously dark smile in reply. "Thank you, Charles. Good day to you, as well." And with that, he exited the Principal's office.

Saffy sat at her useual table, one with few people at it. Wishing the cafateria would let her cook for herself, she ate the greul they gave her. With every bite came a grimace, but her skin still held a faint glow.

((Hmm...*throws in Artemis Fowl into my impression of Nate*))

The puppy-girl came trotting back to Nate, confirming her results. "Completely gone?" He raised an eyebrow. She nodded enthusiastically in reply. "Good girl. You now have no memory of what you've done. Go back to your friends, and act as if nothing has happened." He brushed her cheek with his fingertips, then walked away, her eyes blank for a moment as his ability worked on her memories. He checked for a map, then found a sign on the wall, pointing to the cafeteria. "...Well, this aught to be interesting." He smirked, slipping his hands into his pockets, his thumb twisting one of the rings on his first finger. Now, if only I could figure out how to get these trinkets off... His grey and amber eyes blinked as he came up with various methods to get them off while he made his way to go get lunch.

Her table was by the doors, the perfect place to sit and observe. The new boy seems interesting. I wonder what his story is? she thought.

Nate quietly slipped through the cafeteria doors, sliding into a seat next to Saffy. "Hello again, new friend." He said, his back against the table as he crossed his legs, facing the rest of the room.

"Hello. I'm afraid we haven't been properly introduced. My name is Sappheire, or Saffy. Or Sunshine. I respond more readily to the last two. What is your name?"

"Nathan Ruse, at your service, Sunshine." Nate introduced himself, considering standing up to make a dramatic bow. "I prefer to go by Nate. Friends at previous schools called me Pretty Boy. Come up with a new nickname, if you want to." He said, stretching. He leaned his arms against the table too, doing a quick 360 of the room. "Isn't this the place to be, eh?"

((Haha, Nate'll get up in a minute... XD))

"I guess, if you like horrid gruel. I know for a fact that most people here could cook better than the staff." she grimaced again as she took yet another bite of her meal.

Nate smiled lightly at her comment. "So this is the place I've finally been banished too, huh..." He murmured, half to himself. "Well then, I guess I'll have to enjoy my time here to the fullest." He got up, then carried out his dramatic bow. "I'll be departing to chat with other new friends, Sunshine... See you soon." He said, burning and walking off into the crowd, avoiding tables that had girls oogling at him. Instead, he decided to take a seat next to the girl who he had seen earlier. "Elixir", one of them had called her. "Hello again, acquaintance. Nice picture, by the way." He commented on the sketch she was drawing as Nate sat next to her. A few girls threw angry glares in their direction.

Leslie heard some shout out nearby. He glanced up, instinctively. Looked like the crowd of girls had gravitated towards his table. He turned his head a little and found out why.
Another boy around his age had sat down at this table. Leslie had never seen him before...must be new.

Nate calmly stuck out his foot, tripping the girl who had insulted Elixir. She picked herself up, seething with anger, before Nate tapped the underside of her jaw. "You..." He started, crouching on the ground next to her. He picked up a strand of her hair ever so gently, then let it go. "...are going to go break up with your boyfriend. You are going to slap him across the face, scream all of his worst secrets, then come to your senses. Knowing guys, he'll start fuming and hate you for the rest of your life, to which you will suffer the worst heartbreak a person could ever experience." He said coldly, and suddenly, the girls eyes went blank. She stood up and walked across the room, stopping in front of another guy who was laughing with his friends. Nate stood smugly, settling back into his chair as he watched his commands play out perfectly, the entire cafeteria falling silent to the turn of events.

((DOVE: IF I GET OUT OF CONTROL, TELL ME.))

Saffy watched to whole scene, even catching the bit where Nate had whispered to the girl. That is unnatural. She would never do that on a whim. Saffy thought, going over to comfort the now crying girl. When the girl had ceased sobbing, Saffy went over to Nate. "What on earth did you do to her?"

((oh, don't worry, I'll tell you.))

Leslie watched the new kid as he...ah, talked to the shouter. What a racket he made.

((Oh, look at that. Three people posted before me. Must type faster))

((okay!~))

"She did something mean. I only returned the favor." Nate shrugged casually. "What, is it a crime that I talked to her? Breakups happen left and right these days, anyway." He said, inspecting his fingernails.

((lol Anti... Don't worry, that happens to me a lot too XD))

"Yeah, but there is no way that was a normal breakup. Those two were tight, and all of a sudden she stomps on his heart and throws him through a meat grinder? No way."

At this point Leslie had to break in. He knew the girl's boyfriend. They sat next to each other in History. And from what he could tell, the two of them were getting along just fine.

"Yeah, that was completely out of the blue. They just got together a week ago. Why on earth would she want to end it now? What did you say to her?"

"Things change as people change. It happens, Sunshine."

And of course, through some warped up version of Deus ex Machina, the bell rings.

"What's your first class?"

Nate sighed, standing up. "I wish I knew. Charles didn't tell me anything, so I'm as clueless as you are, Sunshine. Maybe I'll just tag along to your class and see if I'm feeling lucky today."

"I have AP english. We're reading The Hunger Games right now." she said, starting to walk to class. "Most people have the same scedule as everyone else, though there are the normal and AP clsses."

((The Hunger Games in an eighth grade AP English class? If you say soo...))

It turns out that Leslie has Science for first period so I can log off now and check back tomorrow.

"The Hunger Games, huh? Heard of it, never read it." He replied, following after her. "Is it good?"
