Ooh, I like this. I think I'll take an easy level for books that have been on my TBR list for over two years and they have to be ones I already own. That really narrows it down and I like that. How long do we have to finish this challenge?

Even though I'm doing another monthly challenge and two year round challenges I think I'm gonna try this one, I'm gonna do the simple challenge.I'll probably be back tomorrow with my list and which categories I'll be doing.

Gabrielle, Yes you can do a couple different groupings or group them all together. It's up to you.

@Sashana - Hollow so far is dull, dull, dull and I'm half way through, I'm seriously hoping it picks up soon. I LOVED the 1st book of the Mediator series, Shadowland so I'm totally expecting 9th Key to be wonderful!

Definitely keep me posted. The Mediator is my favorite series by Meg Cabot, followed by the 1-800 series.
I'll do moderate because I already have some other challenges going as well. and since one of my goals is to whittle down the unread books I already own, it'll be TBR longtime. Good challenge!

Im in too!!! This is a great idea by the way...hmmm.I think Ill try Moderate, 5-7books! Ill jump at the TBR pile and the Old/Fav and New/Never before author books definatley- Ill (maybe)attempt the fireworks-on-the-cover books too....somewhat. xD

Lisa, I'm going to try to get to that Gena Showalter book you lent me! Things blew up at work though and I'm going to have to work some overtime for the next several weeks so I'm not sure how quickly I'll be able to get to it.

Try to read books from the following selection or come up with some of your own ideas that somehow fit in with the new year theme. There are 3 different levels. Choose the one you feel comfortable with.
Easy - 3 to 4 books.
Moderate - 5 - 7 books.
Difficult - Read 8+ books.
- Read an equal number of books from Old/Favorite authors and New/Never before read authors.
- Read one or more books with countdown in the title to symbolize the countdown till the New Year.
- Read one or more books with a play list associated with it because Dick Clark or someone else always does a musical countdown of the year's best songs.
- Read one or more books with fireworks on the cover because fireworks usually go off to celebrate the new year.
- Read one or more books with Champagne or other liquor because most people toast to the New Year.
- Read one or more books which celebrate the New Year.
- Read one or more books that have been on your TBR (To Be Read) list for a long time.
- Read one or more books that have a scene in Time Square.
