- Read one or more books with fireworks on the cover because fireworks usually go off to celebrate the new year.
- Read one or more books with Champagne or other liquor because most people toast to the New Year.
- Read one or more books which celebrate the New Year.
- Read one or more books that have been on your TBR (To Be Read) list for a long time.
- Read one or more books that have a scene in Time Square.
