I recommend this book for all beginners! its the true story of a Lakota Medicine man given a very special dream to heal his people but who didnt trust in himself enough to follow through, eventually in his old age he reddemed himself by recounting his life and sharing the message of following your dreams for they are creator given and will heal the world.

Ruby Hollyberry | 21 comments Hey, I just checked it out from the library this week! I'm no beginner, but I'm expecting to enjoy it. Native American stuff (real, not New Age) is a great touchstone for a Pagan even if you are focused on other mythologies and pantheons that aren't related. You can ask yourself "What would a pre-contact Algonquin (or whatever) think about this belief or that behavior?" and it frequently will straighten you out when you get confused, I have found.
