Red Harvest

I just purchased Death Troopers, haven't even thought about buying Red Harvest yet (the 30 dollar value kind of stops any thoughts I might have towards it) and I am really excited to read it. Gonna go for it after I'm finished with Dark nest.
I just bought Red Harvest with a Borders Rewards Card at a Borders going out of business. Within five days I had breezed through them both. I liked them quite a bit, actually. Reading through reviews, it appears that everyone either loved them or hated them. And, there aren't really many similarities, except the zombies, of course, between the two. I think, though, that the best line in Red Harvest was the one that said 'undead tauntauns.' That made me laugh, even during an intense situation like the one the main characters were in. I also thought that the survivor count of Red Harvest was interesting... I am not going to say more, since there may be some people (like I was not long ago) who have not yet read the novels. Overall, a good duo in my opinion, of course I really read them as Star Wars novels and not as horror novels.
I have yet to read Death Troopers or Red Harvest. I know I will eventually but I can't say they are a priority. Zombies and star wars.... The whole Resident evil-style zombie stuff is being way overdone in other books now.
This book SUCKED!!!!! Maybe I should have bought an actual book instead of the Kindle version, at least it would be useful when I run out of toilet paper.
I really liked Death Troopers. I thought Red Harvest was only average. Some people think Zombies have no place being in a Star Wars novel, I can understand that, but it's good for a change of pace. And, since we all know that most Sith Lords are obsessed with becoming immortal then it kinda makes some sense that one might end up creating zombie like creatures during this process. These are two books you really have to be in the mood for when you read them. If you're looking for a serious Star Wars novel then you probably won't like these. But if you're in the mood for something different and need a break from the normal Star Wars stuff, then these books will do the trick.
I really liked Death Troopers. However, I haven't been able to read Red Harvest yet. I'll get to it eventually.
I honestly thought it was ok. When it did star wars it worked, when it did zombies it was passable. Where it failed was where it tried to do both at once.I am not against zombies in Star Wars, i just want it handled better.

Do you recommend I read "Death Troopers" before I read "Red Harvest"?
I tend to read books chronologically but in this case I assume there are nods to "Death Troopers" in "Red Harvest" that I won't truly appreciate unless I read "Death Troopers" first.
