Wow was I unimpressed with this novel. The writing style was OK. Similar to her other novels, but I found the negativity of this story staggering. The rape scene alone was both horrifying and matter-a-fact. I couldn't finish it. I tried, but I am still going to count it for my valiant effort to finish it.
